As the NFL heads into the postseason, things are getting heated! After the Buffalo Bills defeated the high-powered Miami Dolphins on Sunday, they have clinched a #2 seed. While they had already secured a berth, it wasn’t sure whether it would be #2 or #4. With this, the Bills remain the AFC East champions for the straight fourth season.

The Steelers, on the other hand, clinched the #7 seed after defeating the formidable Baltimore Ravens. Now the two teams are set to face each other on January 14. But it seems that the fight is going to be one-sided. A linebacker from the Steelers’ camp has been injured. That will make the fight so much easier for Josh Allen and Co. But will he manage to recover in time?

It was a good game for the Steelers as they vanquished the toughest team in the AFC. But then, in the third quarter, disaster struck! Watt crashed into his teammate, DT Montravius Adams. He collected himself and limped to the sideline to be examined by doctors. What did the doctors say that threw Steelers fans into panic mode?

The docs revealed that he had suffered an MCL sprain and tear. And he did not return for the rest of the game. His elder brother, JJ Watt, a former NFL player himself, then offered updates regarding his brother’s condition. He explained that even in the “best case scenarios“, TJ will need a couple of weeks to recover.

JJ, however, offered a more optimistic view of his injury. “But you never know, make a run, and things can happen,” JJ had shared on X. If his brother is right, the Steelers’ winning chances could be severely impacted. And he already has a vengeful Allen to take on, on the other side of the ball.

Why is Watt such a threat to Allen?

@Blitz_Burgh wished that the Watt would recover in time to face Allen. Why? After Sunday’s game, he ended the season as a leader in the number of sacks. He had recorded 19 sacks in the 2023 season. With this, he entered the NFL’s history books, becoming the first player to achieve this feat thrice! No one can say Allen’s fears are unwarranted.

Allen has a 3-1 record against the Steelers, and will be looking to expand it on Sunday. Allen and Co set an NFL record on Sunday as well. They are the only team to lose three games in the last five games of the season and still make it to the season. Allen will be striving hard to get over this record by winning the Wild Card round.
