Tyreek Hill is getting ready to rock the Arrowhead after the gap of two years. The scenes at the GEHA are set to become nostalgic when Kansas City sees its former star once again. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver spent the first six years of his career with the Chiefs. However, when he left, eyebrows were raised about Patrick Mahomes’ and his squad’s offense.
Mahomes shunned all the doubts and won the Super Bowl with a record-breaking performance. This time around, the narrative has changed differently. Mahomes is arguably not in his best groove, and the Chiefs’ 2023 season performance reflects that the team’s offense is fumbling in the crucial moments. On the other hand, Cheetah is having the best year of his life in Miami. Moreover, he has all the reasons to alter the narrative he once set in 2022.
Tyreek Hill felt that the Chiefs would be “great” without him

After parting ways with the Chiefs, Cheetah once admitted that he didn’t get the treatment he deserved from the Red Army. He was not allowed to use social media and was told to focus on the game. He didn’t feel good and shared his feelings once, “It’s like bro, I thought I made it here to like show who I am, show my personality a little bit.” Hill also felt jealous as Mahomes and Kelce became closer and left him out of the loop.
One too many reasons to leave his side for good. Still, Hill always appreciates his time with his former team. However, in 2022, Hill acknowledged that Mahomes and Kelce are “still going to be great.” He added, “That whole team is still going to be great.” He further shed light on self-development, “All I can do is just control what I can control. That’s my energy, That’s my effort.”
Since that time, the wide receiver evolved into an explosive player – with ball skills, football IQ, durability, and speed, just to name a few. Tyreek Hill has achieved the peak of his career with the Dolphins and HC Mike McDaniel. He has crossed the 1700-yard mark with 119 receptions in both seasons. In the Wild Card round, the Dolphins will look at piercing the Chiefs’ pain points.
What would Tyreek Hill’s return to the ‘old home’ look like?
The Dolphins lost the battle in Germany, but the GEHA field will give the team another chance to redeem themselves in the wild-card round. Patrick may have won a Super Bowl without Hill two years ago, but this time things have changed as Mahomes is having his worst year as a QB, and Hill is going through a dream run.
The Chiefs’ coach Andy Reid recently downplayed Hill’s hype, crediting the Arrowhead fanbase. But again, one cannot deny that Dolphin’s offense is more high-powered than the Chiefs’ offense. Tyreek Hill and Co.’s offense finished the season first in years and second at scoring.
The Wild Card round has raised the stakes much higher this time. Every player will give their best but Cheetah’s dominance can overtake Patrick Mahomes from this time. The Chiefs’ offense is struggling more so often. Patrick Mahomes has recorded the least no of TDs (27) after 2019 and already has been intercepted (14) the most times in his career.

On the other hand, Hill has made 119 receptions two straight years and maintained his position as the second-best after Ceedee Lamb this year. There is a high possibility that the Dolphins can win the away game if they can pierce through the Chiefs’ defense. However, the Chiefs are healthier than the injury-plagued Dolphins so this could turn the tables.

Well, if the Dolphins manage to overpower the Chiefs, Reid and Co. would arguably feel his absence as Hill prepares to crush Mahomes and his squad in the upcoming Wild Card matchup at Arrowhead. One can say that Cheetah can return home and secure a win, leaving the Chiefs in a lose-and-go-home scenario. What’s your take on this?
