The 49ers vs Lions game drew a staggering 56.6 million viewers. Along with that, the game set a record for Fox as it became its most-watched in this round since 2012. On top of that, this game is potentially ranking as the fourth-highest non-Super Bowl telecast in the network’s history.

Not to mention, this viewership made a 19 percent increase from the previous year’s championship game between the 49ers and the Eagles. It was all due to the 49ers’ path to victory in this thrilling game. Their sensational second-half performance might be a reason for it. They scored 27 consecutive points to secure a 34-31 win and a berth in Super Bowl LVIII. As obvious, the Lions were also great as the 49ers won with just 3 more points.
Additionally, QB Brock Purdy was instrumental in the victory, throwing for 267 yards, and contributing one touchdown and one interception. Moreover, to complement his efforts, running backs Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell combined forces to score three rushing touchdowns. As all other games have ended, fans await the Super Bowl. Super Bowl LVIII is approaching really fast
On February 11, 2024, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host Super Bowl LVIII, the first ever in Nevada. Along with that, this year’s event features a high-stakes matchup between the Chiefs and the 49ers. This will be the fourth Super Bowl appearance for the Chiefs in five seasons and sixth overall.

And, for the 49ers, they are making their eighth appearance with hopes of securing their first victory since 1994.
