Ahead of the week 12 games, the NFL has come out with a subtle warning to everyone. They have released the list of fines for players. Lamar Jackson’s teammate Kyle Hamilton is also named. The violation happened during the Ravens’ week 11 matchup against the Steelers. Here’s the update.
On November 17, both teams faced each other at the Acrisure Stadium when things got a little heated. At the 11:57 mark in the 2nd quarter, Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton taunted Steelers’ RB Najee Harris. The league didn’t like the unsportsmanlike conduct of the athlete and fined him $11,255. He had a similar situation last year as well.
In 2023, during the week 6 game against the Titans, he made a tackle on the Titans’ safety Chris Moore. He was ejected from the game, and even on the sidelines, he was angry. There were fears of him being suspended from one game as well. But he was only fined $20,524 for unnecessary roughness. Lamar Jackson’s teammate has to be careful to avoid such actions by the NFL.

Commissioner Roger Goodell repeated his tough stance on the policy last month when he said, “Troy Vincent (the executive vice president of football operations) had a direct conversation with the union I think just last week about it. We’re going to continue on that focus. We don’t think it’s appropriate in those circumstances and sends the wrong messages. So, we’ll continue to do that.” The league is getting tougher to keep its image clean among the public.
Not only do such things put other players in danger, but the league also fines any celebrations that point to violence. The Ravens were at the receiving end this time before their week 12 game against the Chargers.

Justin Herbert ready for the matchup against Lamar Jackson
Both Ravens & Chargers are ready for the week 12 game. It is their chance to make their wild card position strong. Both have 7 wins each, but the Chargers are slightly better placed with 3 losses while the Ravens have 4 defeats. It’s also a competition between the QBs, Lamar Jackson and Justin Herbert.
Herbert, the Chargers quarterback, made his plan clear ahead of the week 12 game and said, ”To be where we want to be, to keep going where we want to go, this is the most important stretch. It starts with the Ravens.” That’s a direct threat to Jackson who would also be eager to get back on track after Steelers’ loss. The Chargers are high on confidence after winning the week 11 game against the Bengals.

The question now is who would win? We’ll find out soon. It’s also the 3rd HarBowl matchup as both brothers, John and Jim Harbaugh, would be against each other on the sidelines. The game would be interesting.
