With the new year knocking at the door, guess who else is, too? The draft pick season! Fans are eagerly waiting to see which star rookie gets picked by which team. For the Giants fans, the buzz is around the Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders. The young player has been a tremendous force, destroying anybody who gets in his way. Given his performance and stats, there are rumors of him being in line to be the first pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

In case you missed it, NFL Draft Analyst Field Yates recently released his Mock Auction 2025. Surprisingly, the analyst chose Shedeur Sanders as the first pick, and guess which team chose him? The New York Giants. It was somewhat startling, but the man had a sound reasoning behind it. In his appearance on Unsportsmanlike Radio, he indicated that he had not heard anything to suggest that the Giants will not pick Shedeur Sanders.

The team has not been on a terrific run in recent years. This is why they desperately need a solid quarterback, and Shedeur Sanders could be the perfect fit. Furthermore, having the first overall draft pick will be a significant honor for both the player and the squad. But will such a talented QB want to go on a team having a rough patch?

Field Yates went on to explain why Sanders could choose to join the Giants. He stated, “If you win big in New York you are going down as a legend. Obviously, Eli Manning is a QB who will be forever remembered in the Giants franchise history.”

While Yates’ forecast is significant, it appears that there could be numerous challenges in making it a reality. One of those could be Colorado’s coach not wanting to let his quarterback go to a bad team.

Deion Sanders warned NFL teams intending to go after Shedeur Sanders

A father would never want his son to go down the wrong path. And Deion Sanders is doing exactly the same thing. You may have inferred from the name that Deion is Shedeur Sanders’ father. But aside from being his mentor at home, Deion is also Shedeur’s head coach. And this is why Colorado’s coach does not want any bad NFL team to draft his son, who has shown a lot of potential.

The Speak on FS1 has revealed this in one of their X posts. They reported, “@DeionSanders says he will step in if the wrong team drafts Shedeur.” But what could define the term “wrong” for any team? Take the rumored team where he can go, for example. The Giants have a disappointing record so far this season, with 2 wins and 11 losses. But the losses have not just been stacking this year. Last year too, they had 6 wins and 11 losses.

So, for Deion, the “wrong” in the team could be based on current bad records, all-time records, or even their coaches. It might be anything. So it will be interesting to see where the guy wants to send his son. Many predictions are making the rounds, but there are no official updates yet.

In the 2024 CFB season, the QB had 74.2% successful passes in his 454 passes, totaling 3,926 yards. But that’s not even it. He even scored 35 touchdowns. Seeing all these things, it is safe to say that maybe the prediction for Field Yates can come true. At least the first overall draft pick part.

Whatever happens, OH MAN, the draft is about to get interesting. Only time will tell whether Shedeur Sanders will actually join the Giants or not.
