Earlier this season, the Chiefs thrashed the Chargers 31-17 at their home Arrowhead Stadium. But this time they will be on the road, while also missing some key figures in their squad. Most notably, QB Patrick Mahomes, who has been rested for the game.

But 4 other players have been declared out for the last game of the season. WR Rashee Rice, T Donovan Smith, CB L’Jarius Sneed, and WR Kadarius Toney will not be stepping on the gridiron due to injury issues.

LB Nick Bolton, DE Mike Danna, DE George Karlaftis, CB Trent McDuffie, and RB Isiah Pacheco participated in the training sessions throughout the week. This historic game has been played a total of 127 times. The Chargers have won on 58 different occasions while the Chiefs took the dub 68 times, with one game ending in a tie. But this time around, the talent on the field will be lacking from the Chargers’ side as well.

The Chargers have listed 4 of their players as OUT, 2 as doubtful, and DB Deane Leonard, LB Tanner Muse, TE Stone Smartt, and OLB Tuli Tuipulotu as questionable. The Chargers have not won against the Chiefs at their home games since 2013 and these injury issues can have repercussions for the team.
