Jordan Love is reappearing in the playoffs after missing it last season. However, this is the Packers‘ QB’s first time being a starter with Aaron Rodgers out of the franchise. To add to his happiness, Love is one win away from adding half a million to his paycheck.
As per his contract, the QB gets the amount in incentives for crossing the wild-card barrier. And going into the playoff round, he isn’t the only one to secure the bonus amount if the weekend goes well for his side. Who are the other big earners in NFL incentives?

Jordan Love to secure big payday with a win over the Cowboys
The Packers will take on the NFC East leaders Cowboys on January 14. If the away side takes down the 5x Super Bowl champions and the QB accounts for 65% of the team’s offensive snaps, his contract will allow him to add a $500k bonus with the guaranteed paycheck.
If the QB, however, keeps going on and wins the NFC championship – something they failed successively in 2019 and 2020 – Love would add a further $1 million in incentives. If he even goes further and brings the Packers their 5th Super Bowl, the franchise will be happy to pay him another $1 million in incentives, totaling $2.5 million from the postseason itself.

However, he isn’t the lone big incentive earner from the postseason. There are a couple of other names.

Baker Mayfield and Jadeveon Clowney may get past the million mark
The Bucs have built up a tradition of reaching the playoffs since Brady joined. Even after the QB’s departure, the NFC South champions have made their efforts count in the postseason. And current QB Baker Mayfield gets his own chance to make his efforts count. He will earn $250k if the Buccaneers take down the Eagles and he plays 75% of the offensive snaps.
Browns QB Joe Flacco would earn a bonus of $250k if the side defeats the Texans on Sunday. Ravens‘ offensive linebacker Jadeveon Clowney has already secured $1.75 million in incentives as he reached the 9-sack mark in week 18. He might take his tally to even further when the Ravens play for the divisional round.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith had one of the biggest incentives for a postseason appearance at $2 million, but the team crashed out early. Smith is one of those unlucky names who will have to wait for one more year to get another opportunity at it.
