After the Las Vegas Raiders fired their head coach, Josh McDaniels, the LB coach was promoted to interim head coaching job. And in a short time, Antonio Pierce turned around the Raiders’ game. However, his talents did not go unnoticed as the Atlanta Falcons applied to interview the Raiders coach for their HC position.

As the regular season ended, many coaching shifts were bound to happen. But Pierce has been the talk of the town since the Falcons aren’t his only suitors in the league. But can he stay as HC of the Raiders?

The 45-year-old has succeeded in his playing days, even winning the Super Bowl with the New York Giants. And his coaching trajectory hasn’t been unfavorable either. Hence, the former Pro Bowler has received two interview offers within a week.

First, the Tennessee Titans interviewed Pierce for their HC job. And now, the Falcons have also thrown their hat into the mix as they have applied for the interview with the Raiders coach.

With the Raiders looking to hire the Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson, his interim job at the Raiders might be over. But his locker room presence and respect are unparalleled. And his leaving could start a chain of events that the Raiders might find distasteful.

Maxx Crosby shows loyalty to his coach

As the reports started emerging, the Raiders’ management was uninterested in Pierce taking over the reins completely. And they have pursued Johnson. Reportedly, the 26-year-old DE Crosby is also ready to hand over his trade request.

The locker room situation has been challenging to manage at the Raiders. Previous HC McDaniels also lost the locker room, but Pierce has a cult status among the squad members. He was able to get the best out of the team on the field and garnered their respect.
