The Carolina Panthers amongst other teams have already started taking steps to save their next season. So, they have been actively interviewing candidates for the head coach job ever since former staff Frank Reich was fired. The team works under the interim HC Chris Tabor at the moment but may soon be involving the offensive coordinator of the Bucs, Dave Canales, in their coaching staff.

A tweet from Jeremy Fowler sheds some light on what the Panthers have been up to since exiting the 2023 season. Safe to say that after a 2-15 season, the team is due for a major overhaul. They even interviewed Dan Quinn of the Dallas Cowboys yesterday, keeping their options all open.

Per Fowler’s post on X, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers OC Dave Canales will be appearing for an interview for the head coaching position with the Carolina Panthers. The offense is what they struggled with throughout the season, and Canales seems like a viable option after the Buccaneers defeated the Eagles in a 32-9 dominant game.

The Panthers were about to interview the Rams DC Raheem Morris as well, but due to some complications, the interview has been rescheduled. Per the Panthers website, the team will start interviewing candidates in person starting January 22.

However, according to the team resources, it was confirmed they have a long list of interviews scheduled to find a new HC. The recent interview with Dan Quinn might potentially yield promising results, with the Panthers reportedly showing the most interest in the Cowboys’ DC. In his tenure with the Atlanta Falcons, Quinn had taken the team to a Super Bowl appearance in 2016. Not only the Falcons but also led the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl win the previous year.
