The Super Bowl is just around the corner and y’all must be ready to witness the rematch of Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. But as the excitement skyrocketed, the NFL has made a shocking decision. And it’s not just surprising—it’s going to have a lasting impact on the league’s future.
Roger Goodell’s spokesperson has confirmed that the logo in the end zone which says, “End Racism” will be replaced with “Choose love”. The ‘End Racism‘ logo first appeared in the 2021 season. According to The Athletic, this will be the first time the Super Bowl gridiron will not show the diversity sign. Instead of ‘End Racism,’ the ‘It Takes All of Us’ logo will be in one end zone, and the ‘Choose Love’ logo will be in the other. Actually, the NFL started the stencils in the 2020 season, under the league’s “Inspire Change” campaign.
Brian McCarthy, NFL’s spokesperson remarked, “’Choose Love’ is appropriate to use as our country has endured in recent weeks wildfires in southern California, the terrorist attack here in New Orleans, the plane and helicopter crash near our nation’s capital, and the plane crash in Philadelphia.” Roger Goodell said, “We got into diversity efforts because we felt it was the right thing for the National Football League, and we’re going to continue those efforts because we’ve not only convinced ourselves, I think we’ve proven to ourselves that it does make the NFL better.” But football fans are heavily criticizing this move.
Wanna know how fans reacted to Roger Goodell’s decision? Let’s dive in!
Roger Goodell’s NFL’s bold decision left fans devastated
The NFL fans couldn’t believe what the update they were witnessing after the NFL had replaced the end zone logo- ‘End Racism.’ One aged fan took a jab at this drastic decision influenced by political purposes, saying, “This is bad! Quit tiptoeing around this mf’r. The NFL is built on DIVERSITY and they wouldn’t have a damn team without it. He has ruined the Super Bowl by attending. Shame on @NFL.” While another fan commented on the post, “That’s enough for me to skip the Super Bowl this year – thank you for this post!” Heartbreaking! People are not tolerating this move.

One fan reacted to it by boycotting the Super Bowl LIX, emphasizing, “This makes me not want to watch it. #boycottsuperbowl.” Another backed the previous comment, saying, “Boycott the Super Bowl then. I am a long-term Eagles fan. I rather not watch if the Criminal Corrupt Conman Racist Fascist Trump is there. NFL if you cave on this, the ratings will be the lowest in history.” Fans are angry but at the same time going through pain.
The other fan said, “Not watching it for the 1st time in probably 50 years. Why does he have to ruin every single thing? Players should all take a knee.” The weirdest decision in NFL history.
The NFL is changing. Since Roger Goodell was appointed as NFL commissioner, new decisions have been rolling in. Soon, the league will transition to an 18-game regular season instead of 17—a change that Packers legend Brett Favre protested. Fans will also witness the NFL expanding its international presence. In 2026, the Rams and Eagles will play a kickoff game in Australia. Surprising, right? Let’s see how many more reforms are on the way.
