We like the adversity. We like everything that comes with the name. That’s why we are who we are,” said the Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders while defending his family name. It was a glimpse of his confidence. The college player is ready to change the culture and franchise. But the big questions are still looming big. Which team will draft him? Will he feature in the top 3? There are different reports. But most of them show displeasing news. His stock is dropping!

An NFL analyst confirmed this during the April 2 episode of The Rich Eisen Show. While discussing the draft situation for the Colorado QB, Pro Football Focus’s Trevor Sikkema said, “I couldn’t really find anybody to speak about Shedeur Sanders draft stock with a lot of conviction as a first-round quarterback.

Here’s what that means.

According to a PFF analyst, there is a wide range of possibilities. Shedeur Sanders might get drafted in the 1st round. Or he could also slip to the 2nd round. The 2nd placed Browns might draft him in the first round. Even the Steelers might get a chance to draft him.

That’s a colossal blow. For those who aren’t catching up to the draft updates, fans are eagerly watching the 2 QBs, Sanders and the Miami (FL) signal caller Cam Ward. But Ward is being called the top 3 prospect. However, the Buffaloes’ QB is on the other side as Sikkema added, “I was one of those people after the combine that felt is though it was more realistic that he was going to slide outside of the top three than he was going to get picked in the top three.

After all the hype about the Browns and Giants drafting him, there’s another team in the discussion now. The Black and the Gold! It would be really interesting if that happens.

HC Mike Tomlin might draft Shedeur Sanders

During the April 2 episode of Up & Adams show with Kay Adams, ESPN NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller made a big prediction. He said, “If I’m Shedeur, I would want to be with Pittsburgh. Now, they don’t pick until 21, and he’s not gonna wanna wait that long.

The logic is very simple and obvious.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Shedeur Sanders' confidence enough to overcome his slipping draft stock and make a mark in the NFL?

Have an interesting take?

Under HC Mike Tomlin, they have consistency in their plans. Also, the Steelers have a strong O-line with little work needed in the rushing department. The void at the signal caller position is a big one. Shedeur Sanders can easily fill that. But there’s one roadblock.

They pick 21st in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. If they trade up places and move ahead of the NY Saints (9th), there is a realistic chance of drafting the quarterback. Even then, they will have to pray that the Browns and the Giants don’t draft him. After all of that, there’s one more issue. Aaron Rodgers!

Will Mike Tomlin subside the veteran for the rookie? It will be a clash of two ideologies. While Shedeur Sanders ranks himself high on the NFL pedestal, citing his family legacy and confidence as franchise-altering, A-rod also loves himself as the best quarterback in the league.
