Finally, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell hopped on the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce bandwagon. After a lot of beating around the bush, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift made their relationship official to the world with a heartwarming kiss. Since then, Kelce has been on another level of his relationship. The duo is getting engaged on Christmas, per Life & Style. Apparently, Kelce also got the green light from the Grammy singer’s father.
But what does this mean for the NFL? It’s not like Travis Kelce will marry her and disappear from the NFL, right? Well, Goodell came on CBS and spoke to Nate Burleson about what he thinks about the new chapter of Travis Kelce’s life and what it will bring to the NFL’s table.

The conversation was going along the lines of how people want to see more football and how Goodell and his staff are trying to make football more mainstream than it already is. And what better time for the NFL to reach more people than now with the Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift engagement? Both entities have grabbed the attention of each other’s fan bases, and now, the Swifties are coming to the football games, and hardcore football enthusiasts are going to Tay Tay’s concerts.
“It’s an absolute fever pitch. I have to ask about one thing or else there will be a specific demographic of fans that will come after me. Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift, what I do know is there’s a group of fans that know him are listening to more of her music. There’s a group of fans that love her, that are now paying attention to more NFL games. I say what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Am I right about that?” asked Burleson, addressing the buzz around the couple.
Goodell, though happy about Kelce and Swift, knows that the combo is good for business for the NFL. RG humbly said, “Absolutely listen, they’re happy they seem to be enjoying their relationship that’s great and then of itself, but it has connected more fans of Taylor’s and more fans of the NFL in some ways, to sort of to see that they have a connection now they have a connection to our game and to Taylor and she’s an unbelievable artist, obviously uh Travis is an unbelievable player and I think it’s great for the league to have that kind of attention. So we welcome it. “
Goodell welcomed the relationship with open arms, just like the Kelce and Swift families, who plan on closer ties soon.

Travis Kelce gets Scott Swift’s blessings
A recent article from Life & Style confirmed that Swift and Kelce are getting engaged on Christmas. The Chiefs’ TE convinced Swift’s father to give him her hand, and he agreed. Not only that but the Kelce family is also chuffed about the whole situation. According to Swift’s friends and family, she was the happiest she had ever been.
As for Kelce, he seems to enjoy the ride as well, considering he flew to South America to see her perform and listen to a whole song “tailored” to him. When Swift was on stage, she sang, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs. ”
