With the NFL Combine Week starting soon, it is time again for the NFL Women’s Forum. Beginning on February 27, the forum will enter its eighth installment and provide a platform to connect with women working in college football and the league. This year’s session expects to host a record number of women coaches and club members.
This year, the session will be led by Samantha Rapoport, the senior director of diversity, equity, and inclusion and a former player herself. Twelve women coaches will speak at Forum 2024 from an array of teams from the league. Forty women from different sports fields will attend the event to share their experiences and provide guidance. Diversity also is the highlight of this year’s forum, with 60% of attendees being women of color.

Also joining the lineup is Assistant Running Backs Coach of the Chicago Bears, Jennifer King. Kings became a prominent name when she became the first black woman to be a full-time NFL coach. NFL Women’s forum aims to represent the minority
The NFL Women’s Forum initiative was conceived in 2017 and has hosted over 260 women. As a result of this effort, over 250 opportunities have been generated for women in the sport so far. The program has achieved the cooperation of all 32 NFL teams, and 29 clubs have hired participants from the forum.
Talking about women being the jarring minority in the sport, a message on the official NFL website from Rapoport reads: “Women are vastly underrepresented in operations positions in sports. NFL clubs understand the value of considering the entire talent pool during the hiring process. This program provides the opportunity for teams to meet with driven and experienced women, with a focus on women of color, who have a strong desire to work in football and we’re proud of the progress we’ve seen in four years.”

Like previous seasons, this year’s forum will provide ample opportunities for women to connect and interact with experienced individuals from all football arenas, including coaching, club management, and scouting. The invite-only event will have two days of discussion from the panel members.
