The NFL is witnessing a large-scale coaching restructuring this postseason. Jerod Mayo became the Patriots head coach after Bill Belichick’s impressive 24-year tenure leading the team. It now seems the Titans and Panthers are on the verge of choosing efficient head coaches for the next season.

Previously, Frank Reich and Mike Vrabel served as head coaches for the Panthers and Titans, respectively. However, after the team had gone through unwanted setbacks this season, they chose to part ways with them. As the teams sail toward the off-season, both teams have started interviewing to find a new head coach based on recent reports. But who will grab these spots?

Recently, the Panthers parted ways with Frank Reich following a horrendous 17-10 defeat to the Tennessee Titans. The team interviewed Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator Dave Canales per a recent X post, which said, “#Panthers completed their virtual interview.” The Titans, too, have plans to replace their head coach. The team has also interviewed Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, as their X post reads, “#Titans complete interview with Texans OC Bobby Slowik.”

Both coordinators enjoy a stunning record. Dave Canales served as a defensive coordinator for the Buccaneers. Before this, he served as an offensive control coach and wide receivers coach for the Seahawks; then, he became a defensive coordinator for the Bucs. Under his influence, the team finished around 22nd in yards. Bobby Slowik had only one year of experience as an offensive coordinator, but he did not let that matter. Under his influence, the Texans grabbed the No. 7 spot in passing yards per game. Moreover, CJ Stroud showed impeccable performance under his shadow.

Which other coaches did the Panthers and Titans interview?

Filling up the vacant spot is a concern for the teams now. Both teams have interviewed some of the top-notch coaches in the NFL realm. Before Frank Reich, the Panthers interviewed Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, interim coach Chris Tabor, and Ejiro Evero, who had completed their interviews online, to fill the spot. Similarly, the Titans have interviewed five elite candidates for the coaching spot, including Mike Kafka, Antonio Pierce, and Mike Macdonald. Also, per the report, the team plans to interview Panthers offensive coaches Thomas Brown and Aaron Glenn.
