We’ve seen Aaron Rodgers mentoring Jordan Love, Zach Wilson, and countless others from his Packers days. But there is a sense of entitlement that people think he has, and they would go as far as to dub him a “diva.” However, his teammates would attest that he is humble and has taught them not just football but also life lessons. One of those people is A-Rod’s former teammate, Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
MVS dubbed Rodgers “one of the greatest teammates you’ll ever find.” But the SPEAK hosts picked up the conversation and added their spin to it. Joy Taylor of the show had some interesting things to say about the Jets QB. She agrees to the “diva” tag, but that’s not the whole picture.

Emmanuel Acho started the conversation, but this time, he wanted to know whether his peers thought Rodgers was indeed a “diva.” Rodgers’ ex-teammate, James Jones, weighed in on the situation and spoke from his firsthand experience. Per Jones, “being a good teammate” was always in Rodgers’ mind. However, Acho pointed out a flaw in Jones’ statement.
Acho mentioned how the Jets’ QB was “calling out the rookie wide receivers” in his final year as a Packer. The host mentioned how people like Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson seemed to be “balling” and doing okay. James Jones intervened and said that Rodgers would demand the best out of his peers, and it might rub some people in the wrong manner, but if winning is all that matters, people shouldn’t be upset about trivial matters.
The conversation shifted to Joy Taylor, and Acho wanted her thoughts on the situation.
“I mean, of course, he’s a diva, but that doesn’t mean he’s a bad teammate. That doesn’t mean James’ experience with him is wrong. I don’t know Aaron Rodgers. I know what he did publicly, loudly with his own words and mouth and interviews and what happened with the organization,” said Taylor, adding, “If you’re a great player, you do tend to be a diva.”
A few other people can attest to their relationship with the veteran quarterback.

Around this time last year, Jordan Love, who was with Rodgers briefly, spoke about his relationship with the quarterback and what it is like to have Rodgers as a teammate. It is safe to say that his response was nothing but positive.
“I learned a lot. I was able to watch a great quarterback and how he works every day, how he handles business in the locker room, interacts with teammates, and just how he attacks every day,” said Love.
The Packers QB1 added, “Just being able to sit back as a quarterback and observe him, observe his footwork, how the ball comes out of his hand, just how he practices every day and then takes that into the game, It’s just very valuable stuff that I was able to sit for three years and kind of just pick his brain on and watch him work.”

Not only this, but the Jets had a poor season last year, and Rodgers did his best to guide Zach Wilson so that he could take the team’s reins in the meantime. That didn’t work out, but his efforts can’t be ignored.
