With the NFL AFC Championship game starting, the pregame festivities were all the rage. However, many football fans, especially the Kansas City Chiefs fans, were a bit disappointed as they couldn’t witness the B2 flyover. What was the reason for the cancellation?

As per the schedule, all other activities such as an honoring of the great Baltimore Ravens players from the past happened. And the handing of the ball, by the Baltimore native Michael Phelps, proceeded as planned. But the only Chiefs’ related thing that was going to be possible, was left out.

The B2 Bomber could not lift the Chiefs’ spirits

The M&T Bank Stadium was supposed to witness a Missouri Air National Guard B-2 Spirit stealth bomber do the flyover. But bad weather in the city of Baltimore became a hindrance per reports.

With overhead clouds unwilling to go away, the planned ceremony of the flyover was shelved. Though many fans will be disheartened, they still have an action-packed football game to look forward to.

However many are skeptical of the reasoning given by the authorities since the B2 bomber is an all-weather aircraft. Much attention was not paid to it, as the nail-biting championship fixture commenced. And the game is living up to its hype.

The AFC Championship is on the line

This game was expected to be a barnburner. And till now both sets of players have kept up to the heat in the game. Progressing as advertised, this game is bound to be an all-time classic. With momentum shifting in each drive.

With the 2nd quarter still underway, it is the Chiefs who hold on to their 14-7 lead. Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes combined to start the scoring for the Chiefs, but soon Lamar Jackson leveled it all in the first.
