Dolphins‘ cornerback Jalen Ramsey has found himself in an awkward situation lately. After three months following a meniscus repair surgery, the CB is nearly back to his full fitness. The Dolphins are expecting him back on the team, and Ramsey is eager to join as soon as possible.
Interestingly, the awkward situation is about his comeback. NFL Insider Adam Schefter earlier revealed the news of Ramsey’s potential comeback. But the CB was not going to learn about himself on social media, and he hit back at Schefter.

Jalen Ramsey damaged his knee before the start of the regular season. The training camp injury landed him on the reserve list for the season. It’s been three months since, and Ramsey has a 21-day timeline to get back to training or call it for the season. The cornerback is more excited with the former, and the team expects him to get back as early as this weekend, for the Patriots game.
As multiple sources pointed this out, including the Dolphins themselves, ESPN’s Adam Schefter took to his X (formerly, Twitter) to announce the cornerback’s possibility to start against the Patriots. But it didn’t sit well with Ramsey. Retweeting it, he apparently hit back at Schefter for being just early and not accurate, also claiming it was ‘news’ to him. That indicates the cornerback himself did not think or know about it.
So this is why I just got a crazy amount of texts. Well, this is news to me 🤔… mfs don’t care about being right, they care about being first in today’s media. That’s sad. https://t.co/CZo8ATgtKy

Things, however, turned out to be a bit different a few minutes later. He started a string of tweets, clarifying things.

Ramsey is, in fact, eager to make his comeback as soon as possible, according to the Dolphins’ site. He then put up another post saying there was a chance that he could play on Sunday, but it is not confirmed and is still just a possibility. “But that decision genuinely isn’t made yet so that is news to me just like it is to y’all lol”, Ramsey clarified in his next tweet tweet.
He also appreciated Schefter later for being true to his job and called himself a fan of him. “I’m an @AdamSchefter fan btw, so not mad at him at all for doing his job. I was just didn’t know”, Ramsey did his damage control.

Now Schefter must be praying that the cornerback starts against the Patriots by any means after all these have happened. Otherwise, the journalist would end up with an egg on his face!
