The Jets have officially decided to fly high this year. Aaron Rodgers has got his release confirmation. But the aim is big. To qualify for the playoffs. It hasn’t been done since 2010. To do that, they need to chuck the lucrative contracted players like Davante Adams, who might follow the veteran quarterback and play for some other team. If both leave the franchise, the gains in the cap space would be huge.
If the Jets release or trade Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams, they would save a massive $39.4 million. Currently 22nd in the league with $15.19 million cap space, it means they would have $55 million. And it would propel them into the Top 10 in the NFL according to the cap space. Here’s how the situation looks.
