Travis vs. Jason Kelce: Who's got the better take on celebrating the Fourth of July?

Kelce Brothers’ dissimilarity goes viral on popular American July 4 tradition!  Jason Kelce, the former Philadelphia Eagles star known for his outspoken nature, recently expressed his differing opinion on the US Independence Day celebrations on his podcast, “New Heights. After showing his initial disapproval, the Super Bowl champion then proceeded to express his love for the cultural 4 of July tradition in a swift change of moods.

Taking to his official X handle, he re-posted Dan Miller’s post and captioned it, “I mean, that’s a damn beautiful Fourth of July Eve selfie right there!!” The former Eagles center’s 4 of July fever was displayed after the X user, Dan Miller, asked, “@GarageBeerCo – Am I doing it right? @JasonKelce @tkelce.” Miller was seen with a beer can while smoking.

Miller’s latest post featuring the Super Bowl Champion brothers’ affection for beer is evocative of how celebrations with beer are a staple in the Kelce household. No matter the occasion, they simply celebrate almost every moment with beer. Earlier this year, Jason Kelce’s shirtless moment went viral when he cheered on his Chiefs’ tight-end brother with a beer.

This occurred during the Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills AFC Divisional Round playoff game when the ex-NFL veteran center couldn’t hide his excitement for his brother’s impressive performance. During the game, when, Travis Kelce secured a touchdown and led his team to a magnificent 13-10 triumph in the second quarter, his elder brother celebrated the win shirtless. Jason caught enormous attention during the game in Buffalo, while Travis’s girlfriend, US pop icon Taylor Swift, was also present.

However, this wasn’t the first time Jason was caught celebrating with a beer in hand. Recently, during Taylor Swift’s London Eras tour concert, his impressive beer-handling skills spread massively on the internet. If this isn’t enough to prove how much of beer lovers the Kelce brothers are, before receiving his graduation degree, the Chiefs’ tight end’s beer-chugging video left fans astonished as he chugged a full beer mug without any spillage.

These instances clarify that both the Kelce brothers never miss the boat when it comes to celebrating every moment. So, during the US Independence Day, Miller’s selfie with beer was evidently adored by Jason. This post came just a few days after the ex-NFL star was seen not supporting his Chiefs’ tight end brother, Travis Kelce, on the topic of America’s most popular July 4 tradition during a candid discussion on their podcast, “New Heights.”

Jason and Travis’ opinions differ

During the latest episode, when a fan asked about the historic American holiday, Jason remarked, “I don’t know.” On the other hand, Travis explained that his favorite 4 of July memory is “lighting fireworks.” Here lies the difference between their opinions. Jason remarks that the Kelce family never grew up in a “fireworks household.” Regardless, Travis affirmed, “I’m a fireworks man now.”

“Growing up, Ed and Donna, that was a hard no,” Jason affirmed, as his views align with his parents. “I’m not going to lie. I do not like lighting any of those things anywhere in my vicinity. I am out on the fireworks… I’m terrified of them.” He also admitted that he loves to watch fireworks but doesn’t feel safe getting closer to it.

Not only do the NFL brothers love celebrating US Independence Day with fireworks, but most Americans also celebrate the Fourth of July with this tradition, embracing a true sense of patriotism. However, Travis Kelce’s significant other will not have her annual 4 of July celebration party this year, as Taylor Swift is busy with her ongoing Eras Tour shows. She will be performing in the Netherlands from July 4 through July 6.

The fireworks tradition started on July 4, 1776, and since then, Americans have continued it. During Philadelphia’s first Fourth of July celebration, a cannon was fired 13 times, and 13 fireworks were set off in honor of the original 13 colonies. What a memorable way to celebrate such an important day!
