Following the Magic loss last week, there was one person who made the day better for LeBron James. It’s the Texans’ quarterback CJ Stroud. The rookie single-handedly carried the Texans to a win over the Buccaneers and shattered the record book in the Process. James was all praise for the young QB and managed to forget about the disappointing third loss of the season.
But what’s even happier is that Stroud continued to bring smiles to James’ face. The duo met this morning minutes before the latter’s game against the Houston Rockets. But unlike anything ever before, this time it’s James who might need motivation from the 22-year-old as the season keeps getting worse for him.

Stroud was present for the NBA matchup in Houston, days after dethroning Patrick Mahomes. And James hugged him upon his arrival, sharing the hug quite a few seconds before letting go. The QB seemed to tell something in James’ ears, probably a motivational message amid his struggling season.

But will the whispers help the 4x NBA Champ to turn things around amid the straight downfall of the Lakers? Stroud is in the stand and he will be hoping so, much like what he is accounting for the Texans this season.
CJ Stroud is the groundbreaker of pattern-driven Texans

The Texans stand at the second of the AFC South. But their journey has been a rollercoaster leading to it. For every win (streak) they ran this season, they returned with equal losses (streak). And that’s confusing, looks like the team can’t set foot firmly for once. Albeit, that hasn’t been a serious issue till now as Stroud has found one or another way to bounce back. Without the rookie’s contributions, the team would be battling for the 4th and DeMeco Ryans knows it.
On paper, the Texans are destined to lose their next game. It doesn’t seem impossible either as Joe Burrow‘s Bengals welcome the Southerners. But this might be the game that the pattern finally breaks. Although it’s unlikely that the Bengals aren’t conducting extra classes to stop the 22-year-old phenom, Burrow may still well be in for an unpleasant surprise. If anyone can do it, it’s the new GOAT rookie Stroud, and don’t blame us for saying that.
The Lakers eventually lost against the Rockets for their 4th this season, and it’s times like these when legends are born. NFL’s darling CJ Stroud might be reminding King James of his younger self, who desperately needs the fire now in himself.
