Isaiah McKenzie is putting the NFL on notice! Or so it seems. But before that, word has it, he’s now gearing up in the New York Giants‘ blue. The Giants have agreed to work with free-agent wide receiver/return specialist Isaiah McKenzie. At 28, McKenzie was forced to jump ship from the Indianapolis Colts. He had spent the 2023 season there. With the Colts, he got into 10 games, and made some solid plays on special teams too, returning 22 kickoffs for 265 yards.

Despite this, it’s a fresh start for McKenzie. And it’ll be exciting to see what he brings to the Giants! But it seems he hasn’t forgotten his old wounds. He recently took to X to post a concerning update.

McKenzie shared a post, that too in all caps. “I NEED A DOCUMENTARY LIKE FOREAL FOREAL I GOT A STORY TO TELL,” the post reads. He had also tagged Netflix in the tweet. The replies to his tweet were flooded with speculation as to what story he might want to tell the world.

One user even offered to help the NFL player make his documentary, as he was an amateur filmmaker. However, @Shermanbowler24 said, “I would like to know why Indy suspended you.” Could that be the story that McKenzie wants out in the world?

But what is the official reason why the Colts had to suspend him?

Colts suspend McKenzie for “detrimental conduct”

The Colts made the tough call to suspend Isaiah McKenzie and CB Tony Brown for the last three games of the regular season. It happened on December 20, 2023. They cited “conduct detrimental to the team” as the reason, which is kind of a big deal since it’s not common for teams to issue suspensions like this directly. Usually, it’s the NFL’s top brass that steps in for discipline, especially for serious stuff like violations of the league’s conduct policy or player safety rules. The Colts kept the details under wraps.

Both McKenzie and Brown have really made their mark on special teams this season, but they sat out during Saturday’s clash with Pittsburgh. McKenzie was a regular up until then, being the go-to guy for kick and punt returns in all 13 games. To fill the gap, the Colts had bumped up RB Tyler Goodson from the practice squad to the main lineup. Goodson got his chance to shine in Saturday’s 30-13 win, taking the ball 11 times for a total of 69 yards.
