The Browns fans are eyeing what their team will do with Myles Garrett. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year has publicly requested a trade to achieve his career goals. The DE has revealed that he is 29 years old and wants to win the Super Bowl before retiring. To do this, he wants to be freed from the Browns, but the team is unwilling to do so. And, it appears that they must take the appropriate steps to prevent the DE from going away. But what can the squad do to stop the DE?
Well, Adam Schefter recently discussed this on Unsportsmanlike Radio. And the NFL insider claimed that the Browns could be making significant changes to their roster. So, what type of modification would it be? If we believe Schefter, then the change can be made for the position of quarterback. Uh oh, that’s not good news for Bailey Zappe and Dorian Thompson-Robinson. This would mean that the team would be looking for a high-profile quarterback, such as Kirk Cousins, or someone else to prevent the DE from departing.
Could Myles Garrett change his mind about his trade request after the Browns sign or draft a QB later in the offseason? @AdamSchefter tells @UnSportsESPN that the answer is Yes. pic.twitter.com/EVamdRgi1a

Schefter stated, “Myles Garrett is a proud smart man and this is what he wants today. But a month from now when the Browns could make a move for a QB and they say hey Myles how do you feel about I don’t know Sam Darnold playing how do you feel about Kirk Cousins playing… Is that going to change his mind? Is it going to change his mind if they add other players?….. I don’t know maybe no”
While the NFL insider has definitely spiced up this story with this sudden turn of events. It appears that he has also stated that this situation would not be resolved very quickly. Some sources have reported to him that the team does not wish to trade the player at all. They are not even looking at offers from other teams for Myles Garrett and are not exploring any form of trade at this time. Not only that, but the team’s present ambitions do not include the DE leaving them in his whole career.
Andrew Berry, the Browns’ general manager, has also stated that they want Myles Garrett to retire from this team only. Berry told the reporters, “We always have a really good and direct two-way communication with our players. We feel really good about Myles obviously as a big piece of our future. We’re looking forward to him being on the field. Like I said in my (early January) press conference, we envision him going from Cleveland to Canton when his career is over.”
It’s insane how much the Browns value Garrett, but can you blame them? The DE is doing so well that he is already receiving offers. Now that’s what you call market value, but who is making these offers?
What’s your perspective on:
Can the Browns afford to lose Myles Garrett, or is he too valuable to let go?

The Bills could be looking to sign Myles Garrett
When a player of such a high caliber like Myles Garrett will be looking to change teams you know it’s going to be a war between the teams. Everyone wants to sign a DE like him or in the words of Damien Woody, “31 teams are interested in signing him.” But as of now, no team can officially approach him as he is still bound to a contract and the Browns have not issued any trade yet. Although a player of some other team can ask him to join them. And you know what one player even did.
For those who missed it, the Bills‘ football safety Dion Dawkins was on the NFL Network when he called out jersey number 95. Dawkins thought he would be an excellent addition to the team. And who knows, if he had been there this year with the Bills, who were eliminated in the playoffs, they might have won the Super Bowl instead.
Dawkins stated this looking at the camera, “Hey, Myles. I know you’re looking, man. Come on and rock with your boy. We have a chance to do something great. If we had you this year, you never know, you could’ve had that game-changing play. Look, bro, we love you. I love you and I need you here in Orchard Park.”
