It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, bro, I got to do what’s best for my career. I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.Tyreek Hill did not hesitate for a second to throw the entire team under the bus after losing the regular season’s last game to the Jets. Ever since he publicly declared that he is going to open the door for himself, everyone’s kind of curious to see when that happens.

Although the WR later claimed that it was anger talking. And that he wants to stay with Miami, “I want to stay with the Dolphins. And will bust my tail to make sure it is a better year.” But that fire doesn’t just burn out. Every offseason, the Cheetah just dives into hot waters with something controversial. These days, he is all over the headlines for the ongoing divorce battle with his wife, Keeta Vaccaro.

Amidst all this, it looks like the Dolphins, too, will soon have to decide Hill’s future with the team. The problem with Miami keeping Tyreek on the roster is that they don’t have a good team around him. And their GM, Chris Grier, might not be able to build one this offseason, either.

So there’s no point paying a star player too much when you have so many loopholes to fix. Miami, in this case, would rather free up cap space and get valuable draft picks to help rebuild the roster. But here is the problem that they will face.

  • If the Dolphins decide to cut Tyreek before June 1, it would cost them because of his guaranteed money.
  • And, if they wait and release him after June 1, they can split the cost over two years. That would make it a bit easier on the budget. But it would still hit their cap for over $40 million in 2025. So, either way, it’s a big financial mess to clean up.

Pro Football Network is predicting that Miami will opt to trade Reek during the offseason. “GM Chris Grier can say what he wants publicly, but the Dolphins’ actions say another thing. With Jalen Ramsey apparently on his way out, the Dolphins look like a team primed for a re-tool…If the Dolphins make Hill available in a trade, it’s possible they recoup another receiver and a premium pick,” writes Pro Football Network.

On the other hand, Hill’s legal battle with his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, has added another layer of drama to his life this offseason.

Tyreek Hill’s off-field trouble

In March, Cheetah posted a cute video on his IG, where his wife, Keeta, was applying sunscreen on his face while the couple was at the beach. Then, less than a month later, on April 9, Keeta filed for divorce from Reek. Vaccaro and Hill had been together since 2021. Over these years, they experienced a fair share of ups and downs in their relationship. Last November, Keeta and Tyreek welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Capri. Now, Keeta’s mother has accused the wide receiver of having “aggressive behavior.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Tyreek Hill's time with the Dolphins over, or can he still turn things around?

Have an interesting take?

On April 8, Keeta’s mother, Alesia Vaccaro, called emergency services after Tyreek Hill’s allegedly aggressive behavior towards his wife. Keeta told police that she and Tyreek had been arguing after he told her that he “was not involved enough with their daughter.”

According to new reports, Keeta Vaccaro has accused Tyreek Hill of taking the keys to her car, listing their marital home for sale. And also asking Keeta to leave the house. The WR  has allegedly threatened to take their baby daughter away from her.

Well, that’s quite a chaotic situation Tyreek is in this offseason. From potential trade talks to a messy personal situation with his wife, the drama surrounding the star is far from over. With the Dolphins facing tough decisions and Hill dealing with serious accusations, it’ll be interesting to see how things unfold in the coming months. Will he stay with Miami? Or is this the end of the road for the Cheetah in South Beach?
