As the NFL World is still relishing in the off-season, the high current games in the NBA realm are taking over the sports world. The Minnesota Timberwolves vs the Denver Nuggets was one such thriller that left many on the edge of their seats, including the Minnesota Vikings star Harrison Phillips. The game ended at 98-90 in the conference semifinals with Anthony Edwards and Co. marching into the conference finals.

This has boasted the record of Minnesota at 4-3 over Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets in the semifinals and is now ready to take on the Dallas Mavericks in game 1 of the conference finals. The magnitude of the skills and competition was so high on the court that the Minnesota native football team—the Vikings couldn’t be more hyped. This energy charge has entered the Vikings camp just as they gear up for the upcoming football season.

Initially, the Wolves posted on X, “YOUR MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES ARE HEADED TO THE WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS,” This was enough to get Phillips’ attention. The DT took to X and re-tweeted the post cheering, “LET’S GO!!!!! 🐺🐺🐺.”  Celebrations did not stop there! Cheers and appreciation also joined Phillips’ hyped X post for the Timberwolves from Vikings TE.

TJ Hockenson took to X and wrote, “LFG!!!!! 🐺🐺🐺, showcasing his love and admiration for the team. These messages to the basketball team might be along the same lines, with the heavy usage of wolf emojis, but it is after all the sentiment of utmost support that matters the most. Seeing this sentiment, the Vikings Fullback CJ Ham didn’t hold back from encouraging the Minnesota Timberwolves to do better in the Western Conference finals as he posted three wolf emojis.

As a matter of fact, this isn’t the first time Minnesota has come forth to showcase each other support. Back in 2019, when Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen participated in the annual Top Golf Tournament, Wolves then shooting guard Josh Okogie said, “It makes me feel good when a couple of football guys are coming to watch us play basketball and so I definitely want to reciprocate that kind of thoughtfulness.”

Over the years, the Vikings and Timberwolves have also bounded over their philanthropic work for local youth. In 2023, Harrison Phillips, Naz Reid, and others came forth to serve food from the Vikings Table and assist young children in selecting books from the Minnesota Timberwolves Education Station.

Now, that the Minnesota Timberwolves vs the Dallas Mavericks game is just 3 days away, the Vikings and Wolves camp will be full of anticipation. Again, the NBA and NFL realms will coincide as not only the Vikings stars might come forth gun-blazing their support but the Dallas team will also have massive support from Patrick Mahomes and others.

It’s known by now that Patrick Mahomes has undying faith in the Dallas Mavericks. He was spotted in a couple of Mavs games alongside his wife Brittany Mahomes. The couple treated the game as their date night and were spotted enjoying the game from the courtside. But those aren’t the only supporters the Mavs have.

Recently, we saw Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs pay their homage to the Dallas team as they were also seen enjoying the game from the courtside. This was in the most recent game when the Mavs beat the OKC 117-116 to proceed to the conference finals. Now that the stage is set, it would be fun to see what the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves have in their pockets to outsmart one another.
