Aaron Rodgers is not leaving any stone unturned in his lost season with the New York Jets. He has achieved everything a player could only dream about in the NFL. But right now, A-Rod isn’t earning any praise for his work in green and white. It seems like he has heard enough negative publicity about his illustrious NFL career.

To everyone’s surprise, Rodgers took a subtle dig at ESPN’s Sports Center, which used to be a cornerstone of sports highlights while he was growing up. Dropping his take on Tuesday’s episode of ESPN’s The Pat McAfee show, Rodgers expressed, “The SportsCenter of my youth, those guys made highlights so much fun. And that’s what they showed on SportsCenter. Now it’s all talk shows and people whose opinions are so important, and they believe they’re the celebrities now.”

Well, his comments didn’t go down well with ESPN’s senior writer Mina Kimes, “He’s espousing that opinion on a personality-driven program that employs him as a personality during the NFL season.” And it’s funny because The Pat McAfee Show, where he dropped those comments, is licensed by ESPN, his $24B employer. Now, it remains to be seen whether they decide to sanction Rodgers for his comments on Tuesday.

After Rodgers ripped apart ESPN for their seemingly negative environment surrounding sports personnel, fans were also in two minds about him taking jibes on ESPN. One of them rallied behind Rodgers, saying, “It’s not often I agree with Rodgers, but this is one of those times.” But there was another who called the whole meltdown hilarious, “This guy accusing others of using unfounded takes is hilarious.” As for Rodgers, this isn’t the only laughable take he made this week. The four-time NFL MVP claims a curse is seemingly the reason behind their performances this season.

Aaron Rodgers feels they are cursed…

Everything that could have gone wrong for the Jets this season has gone sideways. When they were supposed to break their playoff hoodoo under Aaron Rodgers. The Jets have now missed out on the postseason for 14 years straight. After losing to the Dolphins in overtime, their receiver Garrett Wilson felt it was the losing gene that had resulted in such a debacle. Well, their veteran QB also believes the same thing but in a different way, which may surprise the Jets Nation.

Rodgers expressed, “I mean, it might be something like that. It might be some sort of curse we’ve got to snap as well.” Whatever the problem is, the Jets need to sort themselves out. Just leave the playoffs for a second. Do you even remember the last time the Jets made the Super Bowl? Yeah, you don’t because it has been ages. The Jets last played on the biggest stage in 1969. From then on, they are just trying to re-discover their path to the grandest stage of all.

However, Rodgers believes it all comes down to the players at the end of the day, “The culture is built by the players. There’s framework set down by the organization, by the upper ups, by the staff. But in the end, it’s the players that make it come to life.” So we can’t help ourselves but ask when their synchronization will start working in New York. Because after their latest defeat in Miami, the Jets are 3-10 and have erased themselves from the playoff race.
