As far as the rookie season goes, Caleb Williams didn’t really have a great year. Lots of hopes and expectations were showered over the former USC product when the Bears picked him as their No.1 overall draft pick. But neither of those really paid off, as the Bears struggled to get going all season. Even with Williams playing all of their 17 games, Chicago only picked up 5 wins while staying rooted in the NFC North. Now, despite everything that went wrong with Williams’ on the gridiron—at least the rookie enjoyed his time off it.

See, being the No.1 overall draft comes with certain financial benefits. And in the case of the former Heisman Trophy winner, there weren’t any compromises. Williams signed a 4-year rookie contract that guarantees him a whopping $39.49M. And you know what? Windy City also rewarded him with $25.5M as a signing bonus on top of his eye-watering guarantees. Think about becoming a millionaire overnight. So, when Williams dropped by on the St. Brown podcast, he was asked how he spent his first pick money.

And let’s just say—Williams was pretty honest about his desires, “House, Watches, fashion, I bought two cars.” Yeah, that’s right. Williams wasn’t messing around with the pay cheques he received from the Bears. He brought home “a double RR and a G-Wagon.” Now, trying not to show off his millions, the 23-year-old tried to give reasons behind his car collection, “One because it snows and the other one was for taxes.” Well, hold on, Williams isn’t finished revealing his luxurious desires.

When asked what his “guilty pleasure” is out of everything he has purchased until now? Caleb Williams didn’t beat around the bush and said, “Watches.” Yeah, no matter the price, Williams likes to flex his hands wearing those outrageous timepieces. Now that you know Williams’ love for watches. Does someone else in the NFL who shares equal admiration for watches pop into your mind? Yeah, you probably know whom we are talking about. Who else but the GOAT himself, Tom Brady?

Brady isn’t just a lover of Super Bowl rings—like he has seven of them. His desires go beyond collecting Super Bowl rings. One thing TB12 is equally crazy about is those antique and rare timepieces. Like he has so many of them, the former Patriots QB has already auctioned a few. Brady’s Big Pilot Watch IW5036-05 was estimated to cost around $12-$24K. But guess what? It sold for a jaw-dropping price of $72K. Call that the GOAT effect. Other than auctioning some of his rich collection of watches. Brady still has some intriguing timepieces in his cupboard.

His GMT-Master II ‘Batman’ Rolex remains at the top of his collection. And if you are going with the rarest, his Rolex Daytona John Player Special is a model that dates back to 1972. The Lotus Formula One Team inspires it with a rich gold and black color combination. And you know what makes it more special? It’s covered in 14K gold, and only 3000 of them were ever produced. Unfortunately, Brady also decided to auction it for a price of $1.14M. Some of the other models he had were Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, Tudor, and Patek Philippe. So Caleb Williams clearly has some catch-up to do if he ever wants to match Brady’s crazy watch collection.
