It’s the Pro Bowl Games; it’s AFC vs. NFC. One of the hottest rookies is going against some of the most headstrong veterans under the leadership of the Manning brothers. We are seeing the best names in the league go at it in a couple of lighthearted series of challenges ahead of the Super Bowl. One of those players is Miles Killebrew, the Steelers safety.
Being a safety is one of the most crucial parts of the team because he has to deal with tacking the receiver or the tight end, which means at some point, he would have to catch the ball as well. And Killebrew did a great job at it. He was one of the few safeties from the AFC to dominate the receiving part of the game.

The NFL just posted a couple of Killebrew moments on X in a video, captioned “Miles Killebrew can’t make his 7th catch but still gets the AFC the win and 3 points ‼️📺: #ProBowlGames on ESPN.” The video indicates the Steelers’ safety taking a crack at receiving the ball. It also shows Killebrew’s excellent hand-eye coordination, as he must catch as many balls as possible in a limited time.

The ball launcher made seven throws, and the safety caught six! The big deal about the situation is that he already had those six balls in his hand and somehow kept himself together before the ball was launched the seventh time. He was in the right spot to catch the ball but couldn’t because his hands were occupied. So, the safety tried to make a cushion and adjust his momentum to make a catch, but no luck.
He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play in the Pro Bowl with some of the league’s greatest players and added, “I’m truly humbled.”
The ball was fumbled, so he tried to kick it up to catch it. His hand-eye coordination looked on par with the top athletes as he attempted to recover the ball with his feet. In the wake of these Pro Bowl games, let’s look at Killebrew’s career.

Killebrew and TJ Watt made the All-Pro First Team this year. Since his time with the Steelers (starting 2021 season), he has blocked three kicks for the team. That’s as good as it gets coming from a safety. This is his eighth season in the NFL, and the veteran has played 17 games this year.
In these 17 games, he made 21 solo tackles and assisted with five more. Statistically speaking, this is his best year with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has played 129 games in his career and has 148 total tackles, of which 119 were solo. He has scored one touchdown and two interceptions in his career over eight years.
