Is Russell Wilson the answer to the Steelers' woes, or should they stick with Justin Fields?

“The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.” This is what Russell Wilson lives by. As the QB focuses on leveling up his game, there’s one thing he should definitely improve: his health.

The love-hate relationship between Russell Wilson and injuries started during week 1 of this season. While the player has been sidelined, will he be able to make a comeback soon? As per PennLive reporter Nick Farabaugh’s X post, “Mike Tomlin says the Steelers are in a different place with Russell Wilson, and he will be a full participant this week.

However, the team will monitor the quality of his work after the session. And that’s not all!  He will be getting some reps with the second unit to make sure Justin Fields can keep his preparation on track. Well, it seems like it’s all about keeping that rhythm! While the Steelers are preparing to get the nine times Pro Bowl player to the team, Tomlin isn’t sure about what to do!

On Tuesday, the HC stated, “Until Russ gets to a point where we’re comfortable with what we’re looking at … we’re going to continue to push forward with Justin until those things are legitimate and then we’ll make those decisions.” Tomlin said. The two-time Super Bowl-winning coach has surely put everyone in a dilemma with his statements! Well, it seems like the Steelers are trying to make sure that the star QB is back to good health, before putting those big responsibilities on his shoulders. But, is Fields able to carry the load?

What’s your perspective on:

Is Russell Wilson the answer to the Steelers' woes, or should they stick with Justin Fields?

Have an interesting take?

The Pittsburgh Steelers are at a crossroads with their quarterback situation, as questions loom about Justin Fields’ role in the upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders. After a brutal tackle by the Cowboys on Sunday, Fields underwent a concussion check, and his current status is up in the air. And the problems don’t end here!

While the Heisman Trophy winner is injured, is the Steelers’ hasty decision to make Wilson play really worth it? And even former NFL player Dan Orlovsky has raised an eyebrow on the team! He said, “I would say that’s the wrong decision [to put Wilson in].

According to the analyst, Pittsburgh has some issues with their offense, but it’s clear that the QB isn’t one of them. The Steelers have lost two consecutive games. While the team is considering whether to promote Russell Wilson back to the starting position, Fields, however, remains unfazed by his spot on the depth chart.

And interestingly, the quarterback has only thrown one interception so far! Impressive, right? However, in 830 yards, he has scored only three touchdowns this season, ringing alarm bells about his performance. And it seems like choosing experience over novice would be a better option.

With so much confusion going on in the Pittsburgh locker room, we aren’t sure who will be the QB 1 for the upcoming game! But one thing is for sure, Russell Wilson might make a comeback in the Steelers vs Raiders match-up!
