The Miami Dolphins wrapped up their final regular game of the season with a loss. The Jets defeated them on Sunday 32-20. As obvious, this loss, as well as the Dolphins’ failure to make it to the playoffs this time, have definitely caused chaos in their locker room. And the major impact was on their star wide receiver, Tyreek Hill.
After the game, Hill expressed his disappointment with the loss and further admitted that he was open for trade. Not only that! The Cheetah made sure that his request was visible as he didn’t return for the fourth quarter in the January 5 game. So, the reporters swamped coach Mike McDaniel with questions to know his take on the situation.
Mike McDaniel, who was already upset with the loss, said, “I’m not gonna put too much weight on second hand post-game disappointment statements.” He even made sure that “There will be conversations that will be direct in the next couple of days… there’s a lot of power in having a team that wants to play together and go for a common goal.” With this, McDaniel subtly clarified his stance. He is ready to keep the players on his roster who are up to play united.

As of now, Mike McDaniel refrained from speaking about anything related to Tyreek Hill’s trade rumors. But when the coach was asked about Cheetah’s not coming for the 4th quarter, he simply put that in: “I was informed he was unavailable right before a drive. I was not informed that it was a new injury. Focus was on players on the field.” He informed that this thing was discussed among the coaching staff on the headset, and hence, he moved forward with those players who were available at that time.
The reason for Tyreek Hill leaving the game remains unclear. However, seems like he has clearly lost interest in playing with the Phins.
Is Tyreek Hill’s time with the Dolphins over?
Earlier in the offseason, as well as during the season, Tyreek Hill showed his interest in trade rumors. He even brought his Chiefs’s journey into the limelight by remembering his Arrowhead days on social media. This sparked rumors that Hill might want a shift and that too in his former home, the Chiefs. But as the game ended on Sunday, and shortly after Hill’s remarks came, it became pretty clear what the 30-year-old wanted.

The WR clearly stated: “This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs, man. So I just got to do what’s best for me and my family. If that’s here or wherever the case may be, I’m finna open that door for myself. I’m opening the door. I’m out bro. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day I gotta do what’s best for my career because I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.” In fact, he also shared a tweet later thanking the Dolphins fans for their support.
So, this means, Tyreek Hill is now ready to take up a new home for himself. Now, we wait to see where he lands. Will that team be the Chiefs again?
