An oblique tear and a high ankle sprain weren’t enough to stop the Texas Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers. Though he doesn’t belong to a football family like Shedeur Sanders, the athlete has done enough for himself. Teams offered multimillion deals to play in college football, but he wants to enter the big league. That’s where he could create his legacy. On the second day of NFL Combine in Indianapolis, he impressed the league agents enough who came running to talk to him, to see if his perspective fitted the team agenda. It also fulfills the prophecy of popular coach Mike McCarthy.

During the February 28 episode of The Rich Eisen Show, the NFL insider Tom Pelissero revealed the coach’s prediction. McCarthy and Ewers spent a week together watching tapes. The HC was impressed. He told the NFL insider, “I talked to Mike and he was (like, I) couldn’t say enough good stuff about Quinn Ewers as a young man. The attentiveness, Mike said I’m like a kid in an ice cream shop. I could talk all day every day with this guy just about football and scheme. He’s going to impress people through the interview process.” His words seem to be an indication that Ewers is about to get a sweet treat shortly.

Driven to make his legacy, Quinn Ewers finished 3 seasons with the Longhorns as the 3rd all-time leader in passing yards (9,128) and passing touchdowns (68). Injuries did derail him a bit. But not long enough to foil his plans. Putting on a strong display of mental strength, the college QB has rebuilt himself after the season, adding 15 pounds while going up to 215 pounds.

Unsurprisingly, NFL teams came running to discuss the future with the college athlete. They talked about the injuries, the plans, and the toughness. Titans, Raiders, Colts, Steelers, Jets, and Jaguars are among those. Additionally, HC Mike Tomlin even asked him about the Major GPA. That’s interesting. But his Pro Day will also get premium attention from the league franchises.

While Quinn Ewers has suddenly made headlines, Shedeur Sanders has been in the news for almost an entire year. The son of two-time Super Bowl winner Deion Sanders has led the Buffaloes effortlessly. It’s time now to enter the league of big stars.

Shedeur Sanders sends shock waves in the league

The Buffaloes’ QB is already projected as the hot property of the league. Everyone is expecting him to add charisma and flair. But he sent shockwaves by announcing, “If you’re not trying to change the franchise and culture, don’t get me. You know history repeats itself over and over and over. And I have done it over and over and over.” That’s some raw confidence.

Of all the college quarterbacks who threw more than 300 passes, Sanders was the only one with 70+ completion (74%). But there’s a flip side to this warning.

Teams wouldn’t like so much attention to the young quarterback. But being from the Sanders family, he cannot avoid that. He has already created competition among the active NFL QBs by saying that only Tom Brady influenced him, and he took mental lessons from watching the GOAT in action. As the draft nears its end, more stories will explode in the football world. Be ready!
