There are finally some updates about Dallas Cowboys stars Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb. The Linebacker and receiver missed most of their training camp due to contract issues. However, the good news is that Parsons did go to the OTAs on Wednesday and Thursday but did not practice. But that gives hope to the fans that Parsons will be back sooner or later.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy took the podium and addressed a few looming concerns about the team. A major standout is CeeDee Lamb, who is holding out because he wants a bigger deal and is waiting on Justin Jefferson to finalize his deal with the Vikings. But it doesn’t mean that Lamb is not working out somewhere else independently.

But Mike McCarthy regularly keeps in touch with his players; he knows that they understand their roles and is trying to help them execute the same. McCarthy confirmed that he “periodically checks in” with Lamb and Parsons in the presser. But apart from a few missing players, the Cowboys have seen full attendance at the camp.

“At the end of the day, everybody has a responsibility,” McCarthy said. “It’s our jobs. Obviously, we have this period of time to have football activity that’s regulated. I wouldn’t say, fortunately, but 98 percent of our football team has been here. We’ve accomplished a lot.”

He also added, “Everybody has a responsibility whether they’re here or not here to get what they need, because when we get to Oxnard that is our one opportunity for real football.” But before Parsons or others start pulling up to the building, it’s worth noticing that Parsons is in his 5th-year deal and will play as an edge rusher this year, not a linebacker. Parsons will make about $21.5 million as a defensive end this year.

According to a few reports, the Dallas Cowboys are scheduled to have a joint practice with the LA Rams during the Oxnard Training Camp. The joint practices are starting August 8 and will be a precursor to the coming preseason games. But coming back to CeeDee Lamb, the receiver just made an Instagram post that might give everyone a clue of what’s about to come, or rather, what the receiver is up to these days.

CeeDee Lamb has a cryptic message

Lamb took to Instagram and posted a couple of photos of him just taking it slow and even working out at some point. He captioned the post, “Life come with a price, ian got time for discussions.” The common interpretation of this message may be that the Cowboys can’t afford him and he’s willing to take chances.

The photo shows CeeDee working out at some gym, the location of which is not exposed. But it seems like his offseason was a busy one because he’s not compromising his health for a new contract. Even if he does get one, the money won’t do any good unless he’s not fit. The last video in the post shows Lamb running with heavy chains tied to his back.

Giving Lamb a deal is super important because he’s the backbone of the Cowboys’ offense. He led the league with 135 receptions, was second in the league with 1,749 yards, behind Tyreek Hill, and is third in the league with his 12 touchdowns. Per Spotrac, Lamb’s projected market value is around $34 million and he will make a base salary of $17.9 million this year.

Also, another thing that’s stopping Lamb from returning is that his QB, Dak Prescott hasn’t gotten a deal yet. It may be a common courtesy to let the team’s quarterback get paid first and wait his turn, but the fans eagerly wait for his return to the field. Do you think Lamb will return anytime soon?
