Inside the Cowboys camp, there is desperation. The players want victories. They want trophies. As the free agency is approaching, a member of the locker room has come out with a special request for the owner, Jerry Jones. It’s the linebacker, Micah Parsons. And if they seriously want to win, then that’s the right thing to do.
Jones said during the Super Bowl LIX that he saw their talent ‘in line’ with other teams. But for the LB, he needs some more aggression from the team owner. The Eagles’ victory over the Chiefs has inspired other players to push for the contender teams. Browns DE Myles Garrett and 49ers WR Deebo Samuel have stated they want out.
On February 13, 2025, Micah Parsons said, “I don’t want to sit back and watch other teams build and us stay the same…I want to see us become aggressive and get some players that will make an impact.” That’s right. This year, they couldn’t qualify for the playoffs.

The league is anticipating a huge number of star transfers this year. It also includes the Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill. Though the Dolphins front office claimed that he will stay at the franchise, his post-season ender comments game was just in the heat of the moment. He might change his team. But the big question still looms.
Will Jerry Jones bring some new talent? Until Dak Prescott raises heat, it looks hard.
Micah Parsons’ teammate under fire
During the Children’s Cancer Fund ‘A Knight to Remember’ Gala on February 11, Dak Prescott caused a stir by claiming they were close to becoming a champion. The Cowboys QB said, “As I said, feel confident that we’ve gotten the better part each and every time. It’s our turn, and it’s on us.” That’s strange. Even when he was playing, the Cowboys struggled with a 3-5 win-loss record.
The reality is far from what he projected. Three decades, no Super Bowl! In his 9 years playing in the NFL, Micah Parsons’ teammate hasn’t even taken the team to the NFC Championship. The overconfidence is hard to digest as the rookie Jayden Daniels took the Commanders to the NFC Championship game.

His comments have been met with a sharp rebuke from analysts who have called him a soft or corporate quarterback. J Tuck, a radio analyst, even attacked him, saying that the Cowboys front office can do whatever they want as the signal caller tolerates their wrongdoings.
Legends like Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin have often attacked Jerry Jones & Co. for not working hard to become a championship team. It reflected again in their head coach search when he promoted the OC Brian Schottenheimer to the HC position.
