Many think that Micah Parsons is “wearing thin” these days. It all started when Shan Shariff of the 105.3 The Fans said the LB is not precisely in the Dallas Cowboys’ good books. He mentioned that his sources from inside the Cowboys tell him that Parsons’ behavior in the locker room is not inspiring and he appears “selfish.”

Per sources, the Cowboys are exercising the 5th year option for their superstar, but it comes with a twist. Instead of signing him as a linebacker, the Cowboys are giving him the DE position because it would be less costly. Many talk shows, like SPEAK, have been vocal about Parsons and Cowboys’ relationship from now on.

Should Micah Parsons’ position with the Dallas Cowboys be solidified?

Emmanuel Acho asked LeSean McCoy about the “worn thin” remark and wanted to know the former Eagles RB’s stance on whether the Cowboys should keep Parsons. It would be a better option for Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys to pay the DROY because he’s been at the forefront of the Cowboys’ defense. McCoy believed Parsons was not going anywhere anytime soon. The reason behind this is a lot of teams will pay a hefty sum to sign the All-Pro.

Joy Taylor intervened and mentioned that she had difficulty understanding where Micah Parsons went wrong or why people think he rubbed the Cowboys in the wrong way. Parsons has a podcast where he might have been vocal about a few things here and there, but that shouldn’t be enough reason to ostracize him because everyone’s doing it these days. Also, it must be noted that the Cowboys have been in a playoff drought for the past three decades or so, let alone a Super Bowl championship.

“Micah is the least of your concerns. You know what else bothers me? When the organization like the Cowboys who haven’t been to an NFC Championship game in 30 years complaining about somebody who’s the least of your concerns. Worry about the stuff that matters, please!” said Joy Taylor, supporting the All-Pro LB.

But “wearing thin” is the slightest concern for Parsons.

The Dallas Cowboys are switching things up with their star LB

As mentioned earlier, the Cowboys are considering Parsons on a 5th-year option but as a DE. As a linebacker, Parsons would earn $24 million in 2025 in the final year of his contract, but the defensive end salary is $21.32 million. In the wake of this contractual crunch, people speculate the LB might never make a deal with the Cowboys.

His agent, David Mulugheta, seeks to make Parsons the highest-paid defensive player in the league by next year. If things don’t go as Parsons would like, he might not participate in the game for a while.

The former Cowboys receiver Jesse Holley said that Micah Parsons is the “most selfish player” on the Cowboys because he doesn’t want to play linebacker and only wants to be great “for Micah.”

However, to counter the remark, Parsons said, “I’ve even told multiple players and coaches that I’m fine playing linebacker in the playoffs if that’s what you want me to do. I just want to win.”
