Last season, Mecole Hardman Jr played just a handful of games with the New York Jets and soon got so frustrated that he requested the Chiefs to take him back. The Super Bowl-winning WR has been in heaps of controversy since his brief time with the New York team. The WR is in an unsavory situation, with a divide between him and the New York Jets.

Rich Eisen addressed the matter and discussed Hardman’s situation. During his time with the New York Jets, the WR shared sensitive information about his team with the opposing team, and the Jets ended up paying the price. His former teammates were not taking the matter lightly and took a jab at Hardman on social media.

The conversation started with Joe Douglas discussing Zach Wilson’s tenure with the Jets and how they are prepared to let him go. It then shifted to other issues within the organization, and Mecole Hardman Jr’s name stood out for several reasons. And one of those reasons is mismanagement.

“Also hearing how Mecole Hardman said on a podcast that he thought that things were at a level with the team uh, somewhat unprofessional, helmets on the ground and things like that which is, you know those sorts of details that you don’t hear from winning teams,” said Eisen.

He added, “Helmets on the ground in practice are a red flag because those things believe it or not are tripping hazards and those are attention-to-detail type things that normally um, uh you don’t hear about from teams that uh win, like the Kansas City Chiefs.”

But that’s not the only roadblock between Mecole Hardman Jr and the New York Jets.

The time Mecole Hardman Jr lost control

Connor Hughes, an NFL reporter for SNY TV, pointed out that Mecole Hardman Jr leaked the team’s offensive plans to the Eagles. But that’s not all; the plans were also leaked to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Jets players Sauce Gardner and Kenny Yeboah initially implied this. The thing is that the Jets still performed decently in both games.

“There’s no standard there. Everybody does what they want to do,” said Hardman, requesting Patrick Mahomes and the squad to take him back to the Kansas City Chiefs. This didn’t sit well with Thomas Morstead.

“Be careful getting information from disgruntled former employees. Getting beat out by a rookie free agent after being guaranteed millions of dollars is tough to deal with,” said Morstead in response to Hardman’s comment.
