Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman is well on his way to his fourth Super Bowl appearance with the team. The 25-year-old joined the Chiefs during the 2019 NFL draft and has secured two championships since then. Through college and the stages of the Super Bowl, Hardman has found the drive stemming right from his family.
Today, as the wide receiver returns to the coveted stage after being ruled out last year due to an injury, his family has walked by his side through the beginnings, hurdles, and peaks.

Mecole Hardman was born in 1998 to Latrivia Hardman and Mecole Hardman Sr. The NFL player grew up in Elberton, Georgia, attending Elbert County High School, where his father and uncle were football players. The two had held immense popularity, being the standout players for the school. From then on, he attended collegiate football at Savannah State with a scholarship. However, that was the extent of it. Mecole Sr. decided to join the naval forces despite his impressive career.
As for his mother, Latrivia, not many records have been made available apart from her entrepreneurial endeavors. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2013. Though all turned out well, it was a difficult journey for the family to get through. “What she’s endured, and always have a smile on her face, man … chin up, chest out … just a very strong woman,” Mecole Hardman Jr. said. Now, as things have fallen into place and the Hardmans have framed much of Mecole’s career, the youngster has grown to acknowledge their role and their presence.
