Mecole Hardman signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs and Taylor Swift couldn’t be more hyped for his return. Hardman has been getting Swift’s support for a very long time now. But coming back to the Chiefs ring ceremony, the artist behind The Tortured Poets Department wrote, “AND WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE,” in an IG Live hosted by Clariah Gordon, Hardman’s significant other.
Now that he’s won the Super Bowl LIV, LVII, and LVIII, it’s time for him to reap the fruits of his labor and be the international star that he is right now. Maybe a friendship with Taylor Swift is an added benefit, and this was certainly not the first time he interacted with the singer.

“Yeah, she was just like, I think she was like, good job. Proud of you. Good game. Like, man, it was crazy. Then she said something about those magic, they said, you and these magic tricks. Because when I first met her, I would do a magic trick with the cards. I got a few tricks I can do with the cards. And she was just like, this is crazy,” told Mecole Hardman on The Pivot Podcast.
A surprising thing about Hardman is that he went to play for the New York Jets in the middle of 2023 season and came back after playing 5 games with the New York team. Guess it didn’t pan out in the east coast for him. But Hardman might have been glad that he got admitted to the Chiefs again and returning might have been the best decision he could have made at the time.
