Christian McCaffrey, San Fransico 49ers’ running back is known to amaze his fans. However, if you think we are talking about his NCAA record for most all-purpose yards in a season with 3,864, you are mistaken. Yes, he is wonderful at his game, but his personal life and love for animals are equally inspiring. CMC and his wife Olivia Culpo are literal “couple goals” who love owning pets together. 

The couple already have a wolf pack at their home. And now a new addition has been made. He is “Mario” a beautiful dog that Olivia rescued from a kill shelter. Expressing her happiness Olivia Posted a story of her father, Peter Culpo with the dogs saying, “Added another 🐶 to the wolf pack, He was at a kill shelter in LA.” Her PR manager, Nikki Bohannon, reshared Olivia’s story to let the world know about this new member of the McCaffrey family.

Nikki wrote, “THIS BEAUTIFUL DOG WAS HOURS AWAY FROM BEING EUTHANIZED AT BALDWIN PARK ANIMAL SHELTER” thanking Melita’s Dream Animal Rescue, Olivia Culpo, and her mother Susan Culpo, that the sweetie is still alive and thriving. Culpo then added a story of her mother cuddling Mario, mentioning, ” So far so good.” showing how easily he is blending into the family. 

However, this is not the first time Olivia has rescued an animal. When the couple was engaged, they found a turtle during their morning walk and decided to adopt the little creature the next day. In a candid video shared by MLFootball, the couple was seen having a cute conversation. “It’s… a turtle. Look at that turtle. What are we going to name him, Christian?” McCaffrey responded, “Charles,” making “Charles the Turtle” official. 

They share a lot in common and have maintained long distance during a pandemic. But the similarities between them made it all easier.

Olivia and Christian McCaffrey’s love for animals made the relationship stronger

News of Culpo and McCaffrey’s relationship broke in May 2019, when the NFL star liked Olivia’s Instagram photo. Several months later, they were photographed on a trip to Mexico together. And to make their bond stronger, they got a pet together, Oliver Sprinkles. The former Miss Universe wed the San Francisco 49ers running back on June 29, 2024, at a chapel in Rhode Island after getting engaged in April 2023.

Both Olivia and Christian McCaffrey are comfortable in sharing the insights of their relationship. In many interviews, she has told how “grateful” she is to have him in her life. “We have so much in common.” She even said, “It’s really easy for us, so I’m grateful,” while opening up on their bond. 

Ever since they met, in 2019, they have been each other’s support. When McCaffrey was traded to the 49ers in 2022. Culpo expresses how proud she is of him through Instagram, “I’m so proud of you Christian! Seeing your light shine is one of my favorite things in life and I’m beyond excited and grateful for this next chapter in Cali.” CMC has also many times supported her on her shoots and telling he is proud of her in her Instagram comment section.
