Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly Stafford, voiced her opinion once again. The internet personality advocated for the NFL players against Taylor Swift’s continuous spotlight. Now she is back with another complaint about another thing which is “annoying” her.
Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly Stafford recently shared a story on her official Instagram account. In the story, she talked about sportsmanship, and the recent incident of punching a USC Player during Saturday’s college football game.
The note which she shared reads: “Watching college football rivalry week wondering where sportsmanship and class went. This is somewhat comical and also just annoying. Punching guys with helmets on how’s that hand feel? We all need Jesus.” Stafford is clearly frustrated to see the players fighting against each other.

This incident actually happened in week 14 college football. After the Michigan-Ohio State brawl, tensions flared again during the Notre Dame-USC game. The drama unfolded after the USC scored its first touchdown. So, the story is, Notre Dame’s Rylie Mills was caught punching USC’s Emmanuel Pregnon in the face mask. The heated moment happened after Pregnon seemed to tug on Mills’ leg following the play.
But to everyone’s surprise, no penalty was called, leaving fans stunned at the lack of action despite the clear altercation. Nevertheless, Kelly Stafford, who loves ruffling feathers, also expressed her annoying experience after watching this fight.
There’s no doubt that Stafford always stands up for the athletes. Probably, that’s the reason she slammed the NFL fans who were celebrating injuries.
Kelly Stafford fumed on NFL fans who crossed the line!
Remember Deshaun Watson’s injury case? Yes, the same day, when in week 7, the Cleveland Browns faced the Cincinnati Bengals, and the whole crowd enjoyed the heartbreaking scene on the field. After Watson got hit with a devastating season-ending Achilles injury last month, Browns fans laughed and enjoyed the moment. This behavior drew criticism from the rival team as well as the NFL community. Hence, talking about the same, Rams‘s QB Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly Stafford, on her “Timeout” podcast, said, “Speaking of injuries, we had one go down – and this goes with the Deshaun Watson situation – as he went down, fans cheering during injuries. It’s just – it’s enough.”

She even continued saying, “And I’m not going to sit here and rail on fans because you guys are also the reason that they get to play the sport they love, but I do think there’s some sort of line that is getting crossed that should never be crossed. And that is cheering when your players or when other team’s players go down. These are people who have families. This is their livelihood so to cheer as you watch their kind of dreams crumble, I’m not really a fan of that.” Not only that! She concluded her statements by requesting everyone that whenever a player is injured, just think about the individual and their family, and not about the sport or the rivalry.
Well, indeed, the point is clear and accurate, as put up by Kelly Stafford. The people who enjoy the injuries should definitely analyze their doings.
