The LA Rams showed up for the wildcard playoff match against the Vikings and how. Before the game began, many people expected it to be a close one, but it was far from it. For the second time this season, the Rams got the better of their rivals as they won the game 27 – 9. Matthew Stafford in particular stood up for the Rams as he put on an incredible performance. Although it was not all pleasant for the Rams quarterback.

Stafford’s wife and daughters were present in the stadium for the game, during which his daughter fell sick. Sharing updates about the same, Kelly Stafford took to Instagram to share an image of her daughter and wrote, “This girl in the middle of her pukes in the bathroom, ‘mommy are we still winning?'” Matthew’s wife and daughter though, stayed until the end of the game to support him. Kelly posted an image from after the game where Matthew is seen hugging his daughter, with the caption, “She couldn’t wait to be in his arms.”

Kelly shared another story with a picture of her daughter lying in her lap. She captioned the same, “Fun to watch my guy, but damn are we glad that game is over.”

The last few days have not been great for Matthew Stafford’s family. Amidst the ravaging wildfires in LA, many families have been displaced and had to leave their homes. Staffords’ family was one of them. Kelly recently relocated to Arizona to shield her children from the wildfires and the depleting air quality in the LA region.

Kelly also shared an update on how her daughters had to be hospitalized recently. Sharing a picture of her daughters in a hospital bed, she wrote, “Last night was long. Back in beds and sleeping, everyone except Hunter. Feels like she drank a celsius.” It has been a tough few days for the Stafford household and while Stafford and the family will be happy about the playoffs win, their main priority currently will be the wellbeing of their daughters.

Can Matthew Stafford's winter magic lead the Rams past the Eagles despite personal challenges?

Have an interesting take?

What next for Matthew Stafford and the Vikings?

The Rams should be proud of their performance against the Vikings. It was a dominating victory, as at any point the gap between the teams was never less than 7 points. The Rams will now face the Eagles in the divisional playoff, and after such a performance would be hopeful of a victory. The biggest plus point for the Rams is the performance of their defense. We have seen how good the Eagles’ offense has been, but with the Rams’ defense peaking at the right time, it will be a task for Jalen Hurt and Co.

The other notable thing from the game was seeing Kyren Williams. The running back was rested for the Week 18 game, and it is clear that has helped him. Williams looks like he is refreshed and while he did not need to put in that extra effort in this match, it will be a different story against the Eagles.

The ‘Ace’ for the team though, remains Stafford. The QB put in a great performance against the Vikings and will look to continue that. Strafford completed 19 of 27 passes for 209 yards with two touchdowns and was sacked twice. The Rams QB was just on the top of his game, completing 12 passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns to running backs and tight ends. Stafford seems to be peaking at the right time and, well, that should have been expected.

There is a record that proves, ‘the colder the better’ for Stafford. In the last 3 seasons, there hasn’t been any QB better than Stafford during the winter months and if that carries forward, the Eagles will have a tough time dealing with him.

The Eagles though, will not be an easy opposition for the Rams. They have been in great form this season and will certainly pose a challenge to Stafford and the team. Will the Rams QB be able to help secure a victory against the Eagles? We’ll just have to wait and see.
