There goes that dream! The dream of the Packers making it to the Super Bowl. Matt LaFleur’s team’s wild-card game was just rough from start to finish. From missed opportunities to costly mistakes, they couldn’t get it together when it mattered most. You could feel the frustration building up. And their HC, Matt LaFleur, was not having it. You could tell he was over it.

Nick Sirianni‘s Eagles handed the Packers a bitter 22-10 loss in the wildcard round. Tough one, right? As the Packers were falling apart, you could hear LaFleur’s frustration over the mic. Something during the Packers vs. Eagles game has caught the fans’ attention. During the game, the Packers HC’s Gatorade bottle tipped over, and in that moment of frustration, he just said, “Nice. That’s about on par for the night.” It was a tiny thing, but it fit the vibe of the game.

Well, we get it—watching your team lose in such a crucial game can be tough. You put so much into it, and when things don’t go your way, every little thing starts to feel like a bigger deal. In the ‘must-win’ game, Packers QB Jordan Love failed to score any TDs for his team. Racking up 212 yards in the final game, Love will end this season with 25 TDs to his name. On the other side, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts racked up 131 yards and added two TDs to his team’s win.

The Packers fans must be wishing it was a bad dream they were having in their sleep and that the game was yet to be played. But sadly, it’s the reality. The Eagles have flown past the Pacs, and now the team, with their injured center, Josh Myers, must head back home.

Disappointed Matt LaFleur gave an update on Josh Myers

The Packers had a rough night on Sunday on the injury front as well. First, their tackle/guard Elgton Jenkins went down with an injury during the first half of the game. Then, in the fourth quarter, their center, Josh Myers, had to step out of the gridiron. After pulling Jenkins from the game, Travis Glover replaced him. Glover couldn’t do much for the team except bring them penalties. The 24-year-old racked up three penalties in the first half alone. It was like one thing after another for the Packers, and things just kept spiraling.

Then came the injury to center Josh Myers during the fourth quarter. It was a freak accident when left guard Kadeem Telfort seemed to fall into Myers’ leg while trying to make a block. The impact forced Myers to the ground, and, unfortunately, on that same play, they sacked Jordan Love. He’s better than what I thought assessing the situation on the field,” updated the HC at that time.

The timing was incredibly unfortunate for Myers. As a second-round pick from 2021, he’s about to hit free agency this offseason, and this injury couldn’t have happened at a more critical moment with his contract nearing its end. Josh Myers said he thinks he avoided any ACL or ankle injury. The concern is possible lower leg fracture but if so they think it’s hairline. Probably the best possible outcome considering his impending free agency and the way it looked,” reported ESPN’s Rob Demovsky.

It was just a rough day for the Packers. They worked so hard to get here, only to watch it all fall apart. Injuries, penalties, missed chances—it was like the universe was against them. To come so close and have it ended like this? That’s got to hurt a lot.
