The NFC North division has emerged as one of the toughest divisions this year. Except the Bears who have 4 wins, the Lions (12 wins), Vikings (10 wins), and the Packers (9 wins) are giving tough times to their opponents. In the week 14 game, the Packers lost against the Lions with 31-34. Their head coach, Matt LaFleur, was disappointed.
During the post-game conference, the HC accepted their playoff fate that they might not finish at the top of the division. While giving up any advantage, he said, “I told our team we’re going to have to earn the right to potentially come back here, and it’s not going to be easy, and we got to put in the work.” The locker room now has to regroup and win all the remaining 4 games.
This season must be testing the patience of Matt LaFleur. In the last 5 seasons since he has taken over as the head coach, the Packs have qualified for the playoffs 4 times but couldn’t progress to the Super Bowl. One similar year was 2022, when they finished 3rd in the division and failed to reach the postseason.

However, the Packers aren’t out of the playoff race yet. If they win the remaining 4 games, they would easily enter the playoffs with a 13-4 record. For now, they are struggling. It’s a tough job being in the wild card teams. But the locker room is convinced that they can still qualify for the playoffs. Particularly after listening to their leader, Jordan Love.

Though he was also disappointed with the result, he chose to stay confident. It would inspire his teammates.

While talking about the remaining games, the QB said, “Yeah, that’s one thing that we should continue to take it one week at a time. We’re trying to finish on the right note. Handle business, take one game at a time, and we’ll see what happens in the postseason.” It simply shows that he is confident of playing in the playoffs. Matt LaFleur must be listening to his quarterback’s advice.
Out of the remaining 4 games, 2 are against their divisional rivals. The week 17 game against the Vikings and the week 18 game against the Bears. But they have to win each game if they want to stay in the wildcard spots. Jordan Love and Matt LaFleur know it will not be easy.

However, the coach will be eager to review the film from the game and understand how things went south in the 4th quarter. Can they qualify for the postseason? We’ll find out soon.
