Matt LaFleur recently informed as to whether Jordan Love was able to throw the ball or not. Though it was a worrisome news for the Green Bay Packers fans, there is no need to think too much about it – as the HC also gave words of relief on the injury report. During the press conference, the Packers head coach Matt LaFleur discussed so many things in detail about their wild-card round against one of the best offenses in the league- the Philadelphia Eagles.

One of the most important things LaFleur discussed was Vic Fangio who is the offensive coordinator of the Eagles. “Vic is one of the best”, LaFleur started by praising the Eagles DC. Then he continued, “They (Eagles) do a lot of things they do. But what do they do? Compliments everything they do. Especially you know the back end and gotta great front.” Matt LaFleur further mentioned the Eagles defense. He said “Not to mention the backers are playing well. I think Zack Baun is playing as well as anybody and Nikobe Dean. They just gotta lot of great players with a great scheme. I think he (Vic Fangio) does a great job.”

And talking about the nightmare, LaFleur said, “[Vic] does a great job of preparing his guys. You don’t see just a lot of open space… a lot of ‘got you’ plays. They keep everything in front of you and you gonna have to earn it. You gonna have to do that with consistent execution… try to stay ahead of the sticks. ‘Cause if they get you in third and long… It’s a nightmare!” But do you also know why LaFleur said that and why he is praising the Eagles so much?

Actually, the Packers HC himself has said that they have to keep an eye on the running back Saquon Barkley. While talking about Saquon, Matt was actually smirking, like he knows what the Eagles star running back is capable of. On a serious note, LaFleur said, “If you give him (Barkley) space, other RBs would run 10-20 yards but he can go 80 yards.”

After all the Eagles have a great weapon but the man who is handling these weapons efficiently is defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. He has pulled up the Eagles from 30th spot to 2nd best defense performance. And guess what? Fangio has been working for only one year. He-k of coach, really!

So, in the wild card game it would be exciting to watch how the Eagles‘ defense gonna score and march toward the conference round. However, the Packers team is laden with injuries.

“He is playing limited.” This were the HC’s words were when reporters asked him if Jordan Love is able to throw or not. That’s worrisome news, but the Packers‘ fans don’t really have to stretch it because Love is ‘limited’ and thankfully not ‘questionable’. Jordan Love was feeling a lot of pain in his throwing hand in the regular season finale matchup.

Another update LaFleur shared was “Today the limited were Javon Bullard, Edgerrin Cooper, Brenton Alexander Cox Jr, Andre Dillard, Jordan Love, Quay Walker, Evan Williams, and Malik Willis.” According to reports, there is a high chance of Love playing the wild card round and he is fine too.

So, a lot of players are limited at practice and it’s scary for Green Bay to some extent. The key game is on the way. Matt LaFleur and Co. must pick pace for recovery at land at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia with confidence.
