Trevor Lawrence’s season with the Jacksonville Jaguars may have been one to forget. Only four wins in 17 games? That’s a nightmare for any NFL team. But off the field, things are looking up. Amidst the disappointing season, Trevor had a personal win that’s got him smiling as wide as he can.

As many of you know, the Jaguars QB welcomed his first child with his wife Marissa Layne Lawrence on Saturday, January 4th. Since the Jaguars’ season wrapped up early, Trevor Lawrence is at home just soaking in every moment with his little one. As he spends time with his newborn daughter, mom Marissa gave fans an update on the QB. Marissa shared a sweet pic on her Instagram story, thanking both her and Trevor’s moms for helping out with the newborn.

She also mentioned how tough it’s been for her lately, especially with Trevor dealing with injuries. Speaking of it, she captioned her post, “Nana and Grandma have been here helping (it’s a little hard with Trevor only having one arm hahaha) and it has been so special and sweet. We definitely will miss their help and snuggles. So grateful for their love and support it really does take a village and I love ours. @kellymowryrealtor @amandalawrence1994.” It must be difficult to handle his baby with one hand. 

The past two seasons have been rough for Trevor Lawrence on the injury front. In just two years, he’s dealt with six separate injuries. Reflecting on it during his year-end conference, the Jaguars QB said, “I don’t want to have more of them. You want to limit them, but I think right now it’s not something I’m overly concerned about. I just want to be able to protect myself and obviously don’t want to continue that trend. That can definitely affect how long you play if you keep getting those.” Lawrence, who’s had shoulder issues twice this season, showed up at the year-end conference with his left arm enclosed in a big black sling. 

Anyway, while the QB gets a break from football, his wife posted a sweet picture of him with their daughter.

Trevor Lawrence and Marissa embrace parenthood

Becoming parents is such an amazing feeling, and Trevor and his wife are all in for it. Marissa shared how she and Trevor’s mom have been helping her with the newborn while Trevor deals with his arm injury. She also posted an adorable picture of the QB with their little girl. And yes, they named their daughter ‘Shae Lynn Lawrence.’ Sharing the picture on her story, Marissa captioned it, “A cozy nap with daddy @tlawrence16.” In the picture, Trevor can be seen napping on the couch, with Shae all snuggled up in his arms. Honestly, that picture will melt anyone’s heart.

It’s got to be such a special time for Trevor and Marissa, getting to experience parenthood together. After a tough season, they’re soaking up those moments with their daughter, Shae Lynn. With Trevor healing from his injuries, it’s all about family right now. And that must feel like a breath of fresh air to the Jaguars QB. No matter how bad the year has been on the field, they’ve got their little one to keep them smiling. The Lawrence family is in a new chapter, and it’s all about making those unforgettable memories together.
