How will Marquise Brown help the Chiefs?

Marquise Brown has shown that he can be quite effective, especially when he has a healthy quarterback to throw to him. In 2021, he made 91 catches for over 1,000 yards and scored six touchdowns. During his time with the Baltimore Ravens, he scored a total of 21 touchdowns. The Ravens traded him to the Cardinals along with a draft pick in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft.

Brown indeed brings his ability to stretch opposing defenses and adds a new dimension to the Chiefs’ offense. He will complement Rashee Rice, who had a breakout rookie season. Although neither Brown nor Rice is considered a traditional top receiver, having both of them alongside tight end Travis Kelce should make the Chiefs’ offense more versatile.

Adding Brown doesn’t mean they won’t look for more receiver options in free agency or the upcoming draft. In fact, they have drafted wide receivers in the second round in the past two years.
