Baltimore Ravens‘ Instagram post on the 14th of August was shocking yet relieving. TE Mark Andrews had a brush with injury in the morning while driving to the Under Armour Performance Center. He met with an accident, but thankfully, nothing serious happened. Ravens’ medical staff checked the athlete, and he is fine. He didn’t have any training scheduled, but at the last moment, he was called up to join.
Andrews was wearing the seat belt, which prevented what could have been a major mishap. Thanking his supporters, he said, “I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and well wishes. This is a great reminder about the importance of wearing seatbelts and remaining alert while driving a car.” Indeed, traffic rules are there to protect the drivers.

Purple Pain wouldn’t have wanted anything to happen to their TE at this critical juncture. Ravens Flock is happy he came out safely. Last year, they missed him in the later part of the season when he suffered a cracked fibula and an ankle ligament injury in the 11th-week game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He looked rusty during the AFC Championship game, which they lost to Kansas City Chiefs. But his season looks better.
During the Ravens training camp, the TE looked sharp and was ready to go. It will be his 7th NFL season and he is using some new methods to train. Andrews revealed, “For me, a lot of balancing, little different muscles, started doing a little bit of Pilates, stuff like that, but I ran a ton this offseason.” His family members, including his brother and father, also helped him during his training in the early off-season.
The Ravens locker room would be having a sigh of relief after knowing that their TE will be there for them on the gridiron.

Mark Andrews likes the current offense
Ravens’ offensive coordinator Todd Monken claimed he wanted to create an offense that would be a nightmare to defend against. This visualization has impressed everyone, including the TE. The 2023 season was their first season with Monken and they went to the playoffs with a 13-4 record. According to Andrews, the players are getting more comfortable. And the best part is that they have clarity about their roles during the plays.

His excitement also stems from the addition of running back Derrick Henry. With an MVP quarterback, Lamar Jackson at the helm of affairs, the combination can wreak havoc on the rivals. Calling it a great move, the TE said, “It’s incredible, man. Being around those guys, it’s making the plays that are going to open things up for some really good things, which I’m excited about.” With such vigor in the offense, they look solid to justify their nickname ‘Death on Wings.‘
