Will Anderson Jr. hunted down quarterback Anthony Richardson from behind for an 8-yard sack in the Sunday game on the field. However, this time, he clowned the Indianapolis Colts quarterback once again off-the-field.
The Colts vs Texans was a close game that eventually ended with 23-20, in which the Houston Texans registered a win. But what caught everyone’s attention during that matchup was Richardson exiting the field tapping his head. He claimed that he was tired and hence, that exit took place. Now that seems a bit strange, right? This incident raised many eyebrows.
Even Texans star defensive end Will Anderson Jr. was surprised to witness this. Hence, while speaking to Will Kunkel at his show, Kickin’ It With Kunkel, the athlete said, “I think it’s a testament to our defense. How we were pressing them and how we got him running around and I feel like that was the whole thing they were talking about like he hasn’t been sacked much and people like we got to change that today like we just gotta be something different and I was like everybody took that a good challenge.”

So, all in all, Anderson feels proud that the Texans’ defense was so relentless that they pushed Richardson to run around and feel the pressure. In the game, the defensive end shattered all records by tallying an outrageous 12 pressures and two sacks on the Colts quarterback.
And probably that’s the reason why Texans QB CJ Stroud is happy and proud of his teammate.

While speaking to the media, Anderson said, “Man, I’m super proud of Will. Just the person he is, not only just on the field, but off. How encouraging he is being, not only in my life, but in the locker room and his family and then just being so family-oriented and always showing everybody love. His mom and my mom are very close…..I know he has a lot more coming for him and I definitely know that he’ll continue to be great.” This high praise from the quarterback for Will Anderson Jr. came from his recent big game – eight tackles and three sacks, against the Patriots.
Hence, Stroud believes that Anderson, much like their teammate Nico Collins, shines brighter with each opportunity. He’s confident that if the Texans rally behind this shared vision, a Super Bowl is well within reach.
