We’ve seen Micah Parsons making bold claims millions of times, but he rarely delivers. The Thanksgiving home game win against the New York Giants had him chirping. But this time, we’d just let the man have his turkey in peace. This is the second win in a row and that’s something to be thankful about, considering they lost their last 5 games.

Erin Andrews caught up with the “hungry group of Cowboys” who never had a turducken before. Andrews wanted to know what changed in the locker room as they started getting wins. Parsons was tired of people leaving his team out and taking them for granted. The win against their divisional rivals was just his way of showing that his team was still in the hunt.

Micah Parsons seems optimistic…

“To be honest, it’s really been, ‘Why not us?’ Everybody counting us out. And it was just like, enough’s enough. We know what we got. We know what we can do here. And I believe in every one of these guys. And I believe we want to turn it around and make a run,” the Cowboys linebacker told the reporter.

Parsons missed four games due to a high left ankle sprain, but since he came back, he’s recorded 5.5 sacks and 14 total tackles in the last 4 games he’s played. He’s recorded 1.5 sacks in this game and also counted against 6 pressures. If anything, it has been a huge motivation for Parsons to help his team win games.

What’s your perspective on:

Are the Cowboys really tanking, or is Jerry Jones just playing a risky long game?

Have an interesting take?

“As soon as I was able to get at least 90 percent, it was about just fighting through it, getting back on the field because I know I can help. I heard, there’s been a lot of trash talk out there, talking about what difference can we make. And man, we still got some guys coming back from the chamber,” Parsons added later.

But there was no trash-talking going on during the happy Thanksgiving moment. Instead, the LB was presented with a Madden Trophy for his efforts in the game. He had the turducken in one hand and the trophy in the other. But the turducken was still not better than his Madden ratings.

While this is the day to feel grateful about, Jerry Jones’s momentary happiness might soon take a plunge because of the pressure he has of sorting out the ailing locker room and most importantly, making better use of half a billion dollars he spent on Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.

Do people think Jerry Jones is tanking the season?

Okay, so the game against the Houston Texans had the Dallas Cowboys locker room marred with injuries. Zack Martin (ankle), Tyler Smith (ankle), Markquese Bell (who tore his shoulder). Not to mention the previous season-ending injury to Dak Prescott. None of them played against the Commanders. Moreover, Trevon Diggs suffered a knee/groin injury in practice and didn’t play against the Giants.

All these unfortunate events have the fans pressuring Jerry Jones and calling him out for tanking the season. They were on a 5 game losing streak. Moreover, the Cowboys’ lack of offseason trade and signings compounded those speculations. One of the fans didn’t hesitate to give his honest opinion as they took to X and let Jerry Jones know their true feeling.

“To be honest it feels like the tank is on and has been since the offseason. First, they barely do anything until late camp and then a ton of guys get hurt and are just about always kept out 2-3 extra games on top of what they were supposed to miss. I think they had this planned,” the fan wrote on X.
