Lions beating Packers at Lambeau—Is this the start of a new era for Detroit?

Climbing a Lambeau Leap is every Green Bay Packers’ players’ dream! However, despite being with the Detroit Lions, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown also saw this dream aiming to make a leap on Lambeau Field once. Luckily, he got this opportunity too.

So, it’s obvious he would have been happy while doing so. But no! Although Brown was happy that he did it, he was disappointed too because of his experience, which he and his ‘secret’ girlfriend, Brooklyn Adams, revealed in the latest series of Netflix documentary “Receiver.”

It wasn’t expected from the Packers’ fans!

During a game in September last year with the cheeseheads, Amon-Ra St. Brown celebrated his first touchdown at Lambeau Field. In the “Receiver” series, he mentioned that as soon as he scored a touchdown, he was searching for a Detroit fan to pull him up to the stands in Lambeau. After finding a few fans in the stands, Brown leaped with the help of them. But unfortunately, he felt something wet on his jersey. Revealing what happened, he said that his girlfriend, Brooklyn Adams, later shared a Twitter viral video of him, which showed a Packers fan pouring a beer on him.

His girlfriend, Adams, narrated this incident in disappointment and anger, saying, “I’m mad. I’m over here like, “Lady, seriously?” The Lions WR, who got to know in the locker room about that fan, said, “I was a little tipsy as I got… as I came down.” To which a reporter asked Brown, as shown in the Receiver clip, “In a weird way, is it like a badge of honor?” Brown chuckled and said, “I have no idea. I mean, I lost my Lambeau Leap virginity.” This Brown’s “second touchdown of the season helped the Lions take an early 7-3 lead over their NFC North rival.”

But wait! Not only the opposition fans, even his teammates once teased him on the sidelines.

In episode 3 of the Series, fans witnessed how different NFL players approach physicality on the field. While some embrace the contact and tough hits, others, like Amon-Ra St. Brown, prefer to avoid unnecessary risks. After returning from injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a game last year, Detroit’s receivers coach Antwaan Randle El and St. Brown’s teammate Jameson Williams teased him for sliding to avoid defenders rather than taking a hit.

To which Brown emphasized the importance of staying healthy and available for games. He expressed, “Man, I ain’t taking no hits. I’m tired of something happening every game. … Nothing’s hurt. They can make fun of me all they want. I’m available. I’m not breaking these tackles. These dudes are looking at me and facing me up. I don’t need to take unnecessary hits. Your availability is your best ability at this point. Taking unnecessary hits is just not smart to me.
