The Detroit city replied to the player reporting incident hilariously. The unexpected loss against the Cowboys by 20-19 handed the team their fifth defeat. The Lions secured a TD with just 23 seconds remaining in the game. With some time left on the clock though, Jared Goff and Taylor Decker went ahead for a two-point conversion. While the catch was taken at the crucial moment, the point was denied to the team.

As per the officials, Taylor Decker should have reported to become eligible, but he didn’t. While the coach Dan Campbell and Decker tried persuading the referee Brad Allen to revert the decision, matters didn’t end up turning in favor of the Lions. The play at the end handed the Lions a heartbreaking defeat at the Cowboys Stadium. Now, back in Detroit City, people have found a hoarding that comically represents their case.

While roaming in the city of Detroit, one will find a blue-colored Billboard that gives Taylor Decker credit and implies potentially how ‘unfair’ the NFL rule sounded in the scenario. Fox Sports: NFL was quick to share the picture on X. In the post, they took a jab at the incident and wrote, “Billboard in Detroit right now.”

The Billboard referenced how unfortunate the case was for the Lions along with creating a mockery of the decision at last taken by the NFL, turning against the Detroit team. While Brad Allen claimed that he was not informed about Decker’s availability, coach Campbell insisted that he kept the referees in the loop about it.

In the end, the whole situation turned into a huge controversy, with the NFL sending a memo to the teams mentioning specific pointers. Amidst the official scenes, football fans were quick to share their sentiments on the fiasco as they claimed a reality check to be required for the NFL.
