The Denver Broncos faced another obstruction in their dream of making it to the playoffs. The dream has remained intact since the 2015 season. On the other hand, the Detroit Lions have turned their destiny and have upped their chances of grabbing a spot in the playoff for the first time after the 2016 season.

Moreover, the quarterbacks of the two teams, Jared Goff and Russell Wilson, also had a bit of face-off during their one-side washout of the 42-17 clash. The battle gave rise to the ultimate question of who was a more accurate quarterback between Goff and Wilson. The Lions’ star quarterback Jared Goff exhibited an out-of-this-world performance as he pushed his team to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter of the game.

The crucial difference was created when he threw bullseye TD passes to Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam LaPorta, and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Moreover, the Denver Broncos faced some challenges in the first quarter, as they could only make use of 1 of 6 third-downs, covering only 75 yards.

However, the Lions swiftly countered with a response. They orchestrated an eight-play, 75-yard drive led by Goff. Russell Wilson brought some life to the Broncos’ offense in the third quarter finally, giving slight hope to his side.

He launched a 3-yard touchdown pass to Lil’Jordan Humphrey. This drive concluded with another touchdown pass from Goff, this time finding LaPorta in the end zone. Though the clash remained one-sided in favor of the Lions, the Broncos’ QB did not waiver from trying his best throughout the game.

The accuracy factor between the two players

Wilson, recovering from an early fumble on his initial possession, concluded the game 18 of 32, amassing 223 yards along with a touchdown pass and a rushing TD. In a symbolic gesture during a seemingly inconsequential final series, backup Jarrett Stidham entered the field and took over for Wilson.

On the other side, Goff showcased an impressive performance, completing 24 of 34 attempts for 278 yards. Notably, he threw five touchdown passes, a feat he hadn’t accomplished since 2018 when he played for the Rams, and notably, he managed to avoid any turnovers. Both quarterbacks presented their best plays, however there was one who surpassed one.
